This list is not about my favorite stories of all time. That's my favorites list and one of these days I may get around to writing reviews of those fics.
The List is about stand-out, in-progress works that deserve more love, for whatever reason. In addition to general reviews of the fics, these blog posts will tell why I picked a particular story and highlight any features the reader should look out for. Spoilers will be appropriately marked, so you'll be able to read my reviews with confidence that you'll be able to read the story itself and experience the same surprise and delight I did when I first found it.
Also, authors and fans of works will be able to submit stories. Your particular selection may not make it onto the list, and the more information you give me for why you think it should be featured, the more likely I'll be to read and post it. Premise
The trauma of having her personality stripped apart and reassembled by the Elements of Harmony left Sunset Shimmer damaged. Fortunately for one trans-dimensional former pony, Momlestia Celestia is on the job, and thanks to some mYsTeRiOuS events in the educator's past, she knows a particular agent at a particular agency who can help with people who have particular capabilities. Oh, and the human world version of Chrysalis.
Princess Columbia's Synopsis
Of course Phil Coulson would rush to help a teenage alien former unicorn.
At this time, however, there's just not much there for the crossover with Agents of S.H.E.I.L.D. to even begin to shade into needing the crossover tag. Honestly, if the author had merged the role of the S.H.E.I.L.D. agents together with Chrysalis' role, it may have worked better with this story, but there's apparently still plenty of story to tell, so there may be a need for Coulson & Co. to make another appearance later on.
Why am I highlighting this fic?
While there's unlikely to ever be any fic that holds a candle to the Momlestia juggernaut that is Princess Celestia/Sunset Shimmer Hunts the Undead, this one does a decent job, and has a few other items of head-canon (and serves as partial inspiration for my own work, My Empire of Dirt) that make this a worthy entry.
What makes this fic particularly good?

Who would like this fic?
Momlestia fans, sad/broken Sunset fans (and for those who aren't, NO, that doesn't mean we want Sunset to stay sad or broken, it's a character growth thing), and fans of Agents of S.H.E.I.L.D., specifically Phil Coulson.
