TEK Updates + EL Anniversary · 5:15pm Sep 17th, 2019
I was debating doing a blogpost re: yesterday's update and what's coming up, AND THEN I REMEMBERED TOMORROW'S THE 5TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE ONE-SHOT SO NOW I GOTTA
Mild spoiler warning
Wow, dang, it's already been five years, that's kinda intense.
So!
Seeking Night has finally arrived, and with it begins the last arc of Act II.
I've mentioned before being excited about this arc, and now that it's here, my excitement (and anxiety!) is overflowing. The next three chapters are gonna be some of the most intense, most raw, and honestly most personally significant chapters I'm going to post.
Shit's gonna get real, kids.
I've said before that one of the plotlines of TEL was about mental health, about living with trauma and guilt, and learning to overcome it. Though the story is far from over, the upcoming arc is in many ways the culmination of that journey. If TEL was about learning to forgive yourself, TEK is about the fact that recovery isn't magically over the second you forgive yourself, and the fact that we hurt others in our pain.
Recovery, really, doesn't ever end.
Because of this, as I mentioned before in another blogpost, I'm going to post the ending act chapters close together. I'm really hype to write, so I anticipate having them done pretty soon. Additionally, and I'm saying this because it's important for me to be transparent with you all, once chapter 17 hits I will likely be going radio silent until the end of the act.
Most of you know I struggle with anxiety still, and I'm legitimately really nervous about doing justice to these upcoming chapters, so I'm gonna try and hyperfocus as much as I can on it. When I'm this nervous, it's often very easy to second guess myself, so I really want to put myself in a mentality where I stick to my instinct and vision--for your benefit and mine.
So, thanks again for reading, and for sticking with me through this five year long journey!

Time to celebrate!
Two more years and we graduate from Hogwarts.
All aboard the hype-mobile! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

This is indeed true.
Woot!
Hopefully it goes without saying, but I hope you know that we support you, including supporting you doing what is best for your mental health! Try not to worry over us while you're away from the comment section, I'm sure we'll be there gasping with a mix of delight, shock, and perhaps horror as to what new pickle our ponies have gotten themselves into!
P.S Happy ELiversary everyone!
I would say don't put too much pressure on yourself but maybe that's part of your process. I'll just say I wish you well, don't get an ulcer.
