Interview with Dreams of Ponies

by Nailah

“Alright, now tell me my dear friend, what inspired your username?

Response: Really, I just enjoy how it is both a verb, and a noun. I dream of ponies, and I am a dream of ponies, or maybe just Lyra, either way.

“What drew you into Mlp?

Response: Funny enough, it was the catchy music. The first EQG movie just had some tunes I came across and it lead me to listen to the rest of the show’s music, then just binge-watching the show up until season four. I joined shortly before the season five premiere.

“Who is your favorite pony and why?

Response: Moondancer, of course. She’s quiet, studious, incredibly smart, but also gets emotionally frustrated without thinking it through. Really, she reminds me of how I was when I was younger.

“Favorite episode and why?”

Response: Amending Fences, cause Moondancer.

“What inspires you to write?”

Response: The first fanfic I ever read. On a Cross and Arrow, by Connor Clockwork, just made me wonder what I could do. My first attempts had mixed results, and I needed a lot of good shoves in the right direction.

“Tell us about your favorite story, and why it inspires you to write. It doesn't have to be mlp specifically!”

Response: Favorite, huh… That’s a real tough one. There’s a lot of dead stories I so wished would be revived, but if I had to name an active one, hmm… Maybe Arrow 18 Mission Logs, by AdmiralTigerclaw. There was just so much heart in that story, I can’t remember how many times I’ve read or listened to it.

“Give us the background of the author! Tell us all about you. Well in a short summary.

Response: I’m Twenty-Eight, live in New York, and work for the Postal Service. I love sushi, cats, reading and writing, editing and playing games, in no particular order.

“With Mlp coming to an end, tell us one thing you have learned from your experiences, and how it has helped you to grow?

response: Open yourself to the ideas and friendships of others. Don’t be unwilling to step outside your comfort zone, as you never know where those paths can lead.

“Is there anything else you'd like to say?

response: If we all just take the time to really listen, then we can all be Great and Powerful.

Thank you for allowing me the pleasure of interviewing you, you have truly been a pleasure to talk too. I hope you continue being awesome.
