Did anyone actually ask for this?

So apparently Playtonic is remastering Yooka-Laylee.

Who asked for this? Who thought this was a good idea?

    A few things, Playtonic:

    1. This game is only seven years old.

Will try and get an update or two out soon, but...

...These next two weeks at work are going to be stressful as hell.

I just have to say one thing, just to get it off my chest.

If any of my readers are private health inspectors with standards higher than local laws, I just have this to say:

    That is all.

    Good night.

    Tell Your Tale: P + P = BFFs

This week, we've got a... Somewhat touching Posey episode?

Think this would benefit from a longer runtime. I also laughed harder than necessary at Izzy in the very beginning.

Alright, I've started brainstorming a new story idea, and it'll probably spend the next couple months on the back burner as I outline and figure out if I want it to be disconnected chapters with minimal fluff, or something else.

Anyways...

If she had to make a permanent choice, do you think Sunset would stay in the human dimension, or return to Equestria, and why?

Thanks for any feedback. If it turns out that Hasbro won't give Sunset a proper ending, I'd like to try my hand at it.

I believe she would stay in the human world, for she rebuilt her life there.
Sunset is linked to her friends and managed to move on from the terrible person she was. She looks forward with hope, her future at Canterhigh and beyond. Not backward, to Equestria and the pain she caused.

Definitely stay in the human world, every positive change in her life came from her time in the human world so it makes no sense for her to abandon it and everyone she cares about and go back to Equestria.

Personally I hate stories where she has to make a choice and can't go back, but if you put a gun to my head I would always prefer she go back to equestria. Now I'm not sure if that's the choice she'd make, but it's the choice I'd prefer she'd make and really, isn't that all that matters in the end? (/s)

I just find it heartbreaking that she reconciles with celestia, her mother figure in many headcanons, and then proceeds to make the choice to never see her again, to never rekindle that relationship and reunite permanently. I'm sure Celestia would be fine if sunset was happy, but choosing to stay in the human world always feels like she's choosing her friends over her family to me, even if it's properly conveyed that she views her friends as her family.

Mostly I'm just frustrated at the lack of stories that pose such a choice and take her back to equestria. (that I've encountered at least) Any stories where she returns to equestria are where it's either a temporary visit, or she never went in the first place, in my experience.

I think she would stay in the human world. Her only real connections she had to Equestria was Celestia and Twilight. Her whole life is in the Equestria Girls world, she has friends/family that love her, she has a home, job, and responsibilities in her new home. Aside from making up with her mother-figure, there isn't much at all tying her to Equestria.

Human world, she's put in too much time, effort, blood, sweat and tears into rebuilding herself on that side of the mirror to just up and abandon it.

Trying to avoid getting into headcanon territory here. Logic says Sunny would stay in the humanoid world since she's rebuilt herself there and probably considers it more home than her original home. However, I can see (and have outlined) scenarios where she returns to Equestria for good.

Now if I were writing something like that, I'd have her return to Equestria for good because she could perhaps become Celestia's student again, make friends with not only Twilight and her friends but also the Canterlot Four (Minuette, Moondancer, Lemon Hearts and Twinkleshine.) Naturally I would consider being a unicorn with magic as preferable to being a human with no magic in a world that in all reality lacks harmony of any sort.

Now if they made one final EqG special, I'm sure they'd have her stay in the human world though.

Why not both?

Why not have Sunset return to Equestria, rationalizing that it's her original home and wanting to reconnect with her roots, but over the course of several days realizes that the present Equestria simply isn't the Equestria she knew and left behind, and her true home is back in the human world?

Miles, while at work this post of yours started brewing in the back of my head, and if left me wondering a slightly different premise.

Let's say the EQG world is doomed to end, Sunset has discovered this, but she can't seem to convince anyone else to vacate to the safety of Equestria. For whatever reason, they're blissfully ignorant of the truth. So Sunset is left with a sadistic choice; does she stay in the human world and die along with her friends, or does she flee to the safety of Equestria, and live the rest of her life with the belief she didn't enough to save them from their untimely end, and the guilt of abandoning them as if they weren't important enough to her?

Heh, I'm certainly not going to do anything like that. At the best that would leave Equestria with a load of doubles, and the worst, a lot of corpses.

I am wondering if I should even begin to tackle the prospect of the human dimension's Sunset, who has never appeared or even been hinted at.

I think she would choose to stay in the human world. Not only does she have friends, a home, a job, etc., but she also has her magical responsibilities. She along with the other girls have those geodes, which are pretty much the human version of the Elements of Harmony. Equestrian magic still finds its way into the human world now and again, and depending on who or what comes into contact with it, it can cause some real havoc. It's up to Sunset and the others to use their powers to neutralize said magic, and if she were to return Equestria permanently, the other girls' magic wouldn't be as effective, if it would work at all.

The human world. It's the world where she rebuilt her entire life from scratch, transformed herself from an arrogant student to a wise mentor, and the world where she came to learn about the importance of friendship. Plus, she's the only one who can really lead the Rainbooms in their various encounters with Equestrian Magic.

I do think she'd pop back to Equestria just to tie up some loose ends though.
