Final Fantasy VIII AU where Squall lives with Laguna as a single father. And then this happens...

Squall: Dad, can I have the car tonight, I got a date at seven.
Laguna: Sure, I'm driving to my date's house, you can come with and take the car there.

*after a drive*
Squall: Why are we stopping here?
Laguna: This is where my date lives.
Squall: That's impossible.
*Rinoa runs down the walkway as Squall gets out of the car*
Rinoa: You brought your dad to our date?
Squall: I don't think so...
Laguna: Julia didn't tell me she had a roommate.
Rinoa: You know my mother?
Squall: ...Oh dear god no.
Laguna: See, this is why we need to talk more, son.
Squall: This is why we don't.

*Squall and Rinoa walk to the car as Laguna and Julia wave*
Rinoa: Does it bother you that our parents are going to go back inside and make out?
Squall: I'm trying not to think about it.
Julia: Don't be out to late, have her back here by ten!
Laguna: Eleven! *gets elbowed*
Squall: Please get in the car so we can leave.

*later in the evening*
Squall: It's about quarter to ten, wanna call it a night?
Rinoa: Sure. *pulls out her phone*
Squall: Who you calling?
Rinoa: Home. *several rings* ...They're not picking up.
Squall: We're not going back there.
Rinoa: Agreed.

*one morning, Laguna wakes up and goes into the kitchen, and notices Squall and Rinoa eating at the table*
Laguna: ...who's house are we in?
Squall: Ours.
Laguna: *grins and rubs Squall's hair* Atta boy, son!
Squall: This is why I asked you not to stay for breakfast.
*Julia enters*
Julia: Morning, kids!
Rinoa: Yup, you were right.
