Hm. I'm not up on the art scene to know who's actually that active anymore.
A few whose style I like are uotapo, dstears, Vanilla Ghosties, yakovlev-vad, magnaluna, holivi, saxopi... but I don't know that any of them are the type to donate commissions. One artist I like who has done so in the past is Harwick.

I too like Heir of Rick, although his ears can get a bit outrageous at times.
dSana, A.K.A. Stainless Key. They do a lot of really cute/heartwarming art for Twilight and Spike, and I just so happen to be a massive sucker for that kind of stuff.
If that's not up your alley, they also just started a comic about Tempest, and its shaping up to be pretty interesting.
Like 90% of the artists I watch just draw porn so <.<
