In Time We All Must Come To Terms · 1:50pm Jun 1st, 2019
Today my grandmother passed away.
I'm not really certain what else to say other than that she was an incredible woman, proud and maternal and the type of person I think a lot of people should aspire to be.
For the past while her health has been declining and I know she hated every minute of it, but despite that she always had a smile for any of her children or grandchildren. She put on a strong face for us no matter what because that was what she did, and now she's gone and I know she's at peace, and I like to think that, whatever your faith, she and my grandfather, who passed several years back, have found one another again.
I miss her.
But I also hold her lessons with me, just as the lessons of my grandfather stayed with me.
The pair of them believed a very simple truth: Be Kind. It was something they used to tell me, that if you cannot be anything else, that if you're confused or hurting, or if you don't know what to do, that... "You can't go wrong being kind."
So I guess that's all I wanted to say. To share my grandmother, a least a little, with everyone, and share that lesson she and my grandfather thought was the most important one to share.
"You can't go wrong being kind."
Cheers,
I-A-M
I can sympathize. My own grandma has passed on too. Way too early. She was 50 years old when she got, I think it was ether lung or breast cancer. From what I heard, she passed away peacefully.
Am so sorry for your loss. Losing people we care about always hurts but am glad your remembering what she taught you.
Very sorry, man.
I'm so sorry your loss I-A-M, I know the pain you're going through. It's been 3 years since I lost my grandmother.... She was incredible woman & no doubt, yours was too, may she rest in peace....
I am very sorry for your loss. It's good that you are taking her lesson with you and sharing it, and that she was such a great, positive influence in your life. My thoughts are with you and your family.
I am sorry for your loss, it's never easy losing anyone in your life like that. If you need time to yourself for a bit take all of it you need, we all understand. And if you ever need to reach out don't be afraid to do so, we're more than happy to help you through all of this.
Ah, my condolences, I-A-M.
And a nice lesson. :)
You have my condolences, mate. I'm sure she was a wonderful woman. And she was right about what she said: Kindness never fails.
May she Rest In Peace.
