Once upon a time, a pony named Twilight Glimmer was sitting in her bed on a late-winter night. She had been watching a lot of Spongebob Squarepants that day as it was one of her favorite shows to watch.
A quote then ran through her mind.
...or maybe you want me to extinguish the sun so the light doesn’t get in your eyes!
She had an idea. “What if I write a fanfic about somepony asking Celestia to extinguish the sun? But that would have to be an OC. What would I call him?”
Then, a character from a book she had recently read jumped out at her. This character went by the name of Stew Pid. “I need to think of a name that is a synonym to idiot, but sounds less demeaning. Hmm... Oh! I know! Nitwit! Maybe I should spell it with a k just so it sounds more like a name! Yes!”
So, after taking about 3 days to write it, Twilight G. posted her story on FiMFiction. Her story jumped up and down on the popular list for an hour or so. She finally put her phone away and ate a Lunchable.
When she was finished with her meal, she went back on the site and saw that she was featured! After jumping around for a few minutes, she started to reply to the comments.
That night, she went to sleep smiling, knowing that she was a decent author after all.
