    Droppin' By

Hello, I was in the neighborhood and had just realized that my last blog post was a bit of a downer, given that it was around the time of my Grandma's passing and funeral. I think I oughta leave you folks with something a bit more upbeat or at least something neutral.

    And Now, A Newsletter

Huh, back in July I said I oughta talk more around here. It's now the day after Christmas and I have not, in fact, talked more around here.

So, I'll give you the rundown on what I've been up to since then. Warning, it gets a little long in talking about last summer's vacation and about a new fixation I have.

So, Um... · 5:37pm Apr 1st, 2019

I'm disappointed in myself for not getting the next chapter of Brotherly Bonding Time out before March ended. I'm not even going to bother with the excuses, I should just be brainstorming or writing whenever I'm bored during my free time.

But, whatever, I do have a little sneak peek for you guys, because I'm feeling a little generous today.

Once the posse and all their volunteers had been teleported out of the cave and to a nearby glade, Twilight and Destiny had opened the book to the page of the summoning runes. As grass was swiftly cleared and the rune circle created, Twilight teleported to the outskirts of Manehattan and back, making sure that their quarry was still within the city limits. They were, but knowing that they could leave at any moment, they all started thinking on ponies who could be a big help in this endeavor.

But then, all of a sudden, they heard, "You know, I don't see why you're wasting time bothering with regular, boring old ponies when you could just send in moi to solve all your problems for you."

All ponies in the area turned to look at the tree where this came from, where a branch with colorful leaves suddenly sprouted an entire face.

"Discord! I thought you were on vacation!" Fluttershy chirped.

Discord the tree branch snapped off the tree, fell to the ground with a thud, and rolled to where the group sat. He transformed back into his draconequus form and fluttered his lashes at his yellow pegasus friend. "I was planning to be, but then I realized that you ponies were just going to exclude me from this world-saving endeavor!" He glared at Twilight and levitated Tomato to his grasp. "Honestly, do you not have any faith in me? You seriously have more faith in this little square who just complains and has freak-outs any time he realizes he's too much like his brother?"

Twilight pursed her lips. "Well... it's just that he's the only one who can carry Cheese's memories without expending a lot of magic to--"

"Yeah, yeah, yeah, whatever." Discord snapped his tail tuft, and in a split second, werewolf Cheese was in his other hand. The surprised werewolf blinked a moment before snarling and struggling in the draconequus' grip, and stretched his neck as much as he could in an attempt to bite Discord, to no avail. Discord just looked at him with disdain, and glanced at Tomato. "Okay, little ketchup squirt, just chuck the memories at him."

Tomato glanced down at the memories and back up to Cheese, and after taking a second to aim, he chucked them right at his head. The werewolf yelped from the pain of being hit with orbs that shattered like glass, and he was surrounded in a magic green mist. The mist was sucked into his ears, and his eyes glowed for several moments as everything came rushing back to him. Finally, after his eyes returned to their normal gree, Cheese rubbed his head and groaned.

"Wha... what happened?"

Discord dropped Tomato, and then snapped his free paw's fingers to return Cheese to pony form, and return his yellow shirt to him. The sky lit up to the east as if there were thunder, and the moon started moving out of the sun's way. "There, now that he's cured, everypony else including our princesses have been cured, and none of you have gone through the trouble of fighting them just to keep that cheap OC safe while he tries to save the world in the dumbest way possible. I think our bad guy would have turned him back into a vampire."

Cheese shook his head. "Wait, what did you call my brother?"

Discord dropped him as well. "Now, just hug and be affectionate brothers, you two, this is your story, after all."

"Hey! What about Pinkie?" Rainbow asked.

Discord scoffed. "Just find her on your own; if I bring her here, she might ruin the moment with the romantic subplot she's carrying around." He turned to Flora. "And I'm considering sending you away because you might cause a second one."

Flora gave him a funny look. "Um, what?"

Discord strolled away. "Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to pack for my vacation, and I'll make sure to leave with Wayer Rune so I could throw him into a volcano." He smiled and leaned toward Fluttershy. "Are you sure that you don't want to come with me to Hawaii?"

Fluttershy rubbed her leg. "I'd love to go on vacation with you, but I don't think that I could survive in your volcano vacation home. Besides, I need to make a head count of my animals and tend to the wounded."

"All right, fine, your loss." And then he teleported away.

Cheese and Tomato looked at each other awkwardly. Cheese rubbed the back of his head. "Okay, so... were we having a moment?"

Tomato just snorted, and pulled Cheese close with a tight squeeze. "Yes. Now shut up and hug me." He paused a moment before adding, "Please don't ever turn into a werewolf again."

"I promise I won't," Cheese said. "I hope Pinkie's okay... I've got a lot of apologies to make to her."

Party Favor, Comedy Gold, and Bananas all looked at each other and shrugged. Bananas then suggested, "Well, maybe we're just here to throw a big celebration for how everything's back to normal. Should we just end things off with a tacky dance party?"

"And wear tacky clothes, too!" Comedy Gold suggested.

Cheese perked up. "Oh, I have the perfect song for that!"

"You better find Pinkie first," mumble Tomato.

And then everyone laughed, went off to find Pinkie, and they had that dance party. They summoned Ponyacci to join the celebration and to let him know that Cheese was okay. Everypony--except Rarity, she's too classy to stand doing so--wore tacky clothing because why the heck not, it was at least their conscious choice and not the will of some madhorse stripping all their memories away and turning them into animals. And thus, the summer ended with bang.

The End.

And here's how the dance party went:

Tomato's holding the camera, just so you know. :raritywink:

Happy April Fools' Day! There's no way I'm making the end this anticlimactic.

Dang, Cheese should’ve recorded that video with a ton of Equestrian celebrities.

Anyways, funny joke.

Oh my goodness, the art! I love these tacky ponies!
