Haven't been talking about the shorts lately, but these three came out with a shared title, so I guess that's worth a blog? Links are here.

Yaknow, it's really sad, but apparently four-star reviews can be devastating to a career. Which is fucking stupid. So Pinkie's not exactly out of line with her freakout.
Of course, she's out of line with everything else, but that's Pinkie for you these days. I absolutely detest the valley girl treatment for Fleur's voice (we have fucking heard her speak in the show goddammit), but I was won over by Pinkie getting hit with the rolled-up newspaper. She needs that. She needs that a lot. Also "have an entire Twilight". Amusing.

Twilight in heels is pretty great too. Fucking everyone's wearing heels, that's a thing now I guess? o.O
So I guess "Better Together" is code for "Pinkie fucks shit up because we don't know what to do with her". Like, why is that the running theme? And not to be chromist, but I couldn't help thinking Rosette Nebula is related to Principal Cinch. >.>

Okay, but this was Party of One with Rarity. c.c The other two shorts, for all that they enticed me to yell at Pinkie Pie, were all right. This was a waste of my time.
I feel the same sentiments towards Pinkie. Had she been my waitress, I would have just left.

I'm getting a little tired of Sci-Twi being treated as if she's so legendarily smart that she's a game changer for society as a whole. Call it "Wesley Crusher Syndrome." That said, I'm all for a restaurant that gives me a complimentary Twilight.
So before starting on these... I'm not sure how I felt about the one that was built around the single joke that Principal Celestia is worse than useless. On a meta level it kinda works, what with FiM Celestia since, oh, whenever. But it couldn't stretch to 2 minutes, and they needed to fill the time with the Human Six being repeatedly too stupid to know what classes they were in.
Okay, Five Stars was interesting. I disagree with your take that it reflects Pinkie "these days," since it felt to me a great deal like the Cranky Doodle episode, if it recognized that Pinkie was the bad guy instead of doing an ass-pull so that she makes everything all right at the end. 100% with you on her getting hit with a rolled up newspaper. :V
"Stars are like the glitter of the sky!" Well, they will in general outlive all of us... I've got to give it to Bulk, he made a suit with shorts for pants look pretty good. Granted, he has an impossible cartoon body to work with, but you've still got to give props where they're due.
I think there are some good things to take from "FOMO." For one, spending time with Twilight is a chore. :V I kid, I kid. But how about the fact that Rarity can actually get a cab, easy as anything? But yes, there wasn't much there. Though I guess we have confirmation that Rarity lives somewhere--and based on the front door, it's really her house... however that works. Maybe her parents are in fact dead?
