My grandma's gone. Just thought I'd let everyone who sent their best know. Thanks for your words and your patience. She lasted 15 days at home, with nothing to eat or drink, fighting to the last. I'm going to miss her a lot. It's going to be a tough week getting everything squared away.

Thanks again for being patient. I hope you all have a better weekend than I'm having, and I hope you'll join me when I have some better news for you all.

My mother’s mother died after being attacked by her own youngest daughter and two of her kids. They wanted her car and she wouldn’t give it to them. She survived for three months after the attack, and the ones who did the attacking went into hiding, knowing the rest of the family would make them pay for what they did. The daughter, my youngest aunt, died a few years ago. Her daughter, my cousin, was absolved of the crime by family who knew her and found out she wasn’t there, but her son has been in hiding for over twenty-five years.

So count yourself fortunate. There are families far more messed up than yours.
