I guess that's another one gone... though i may get it back later. · 1:49am Feb 1st, 2019
i'm not happy about this. very annoyed, actually.
over the latter half of last year and for most of this current month i have mostly relied on a website known as https://www.clipconverter.cc/ for the majority of my video downloads, along with occusionally https://keepvid.site/ and https://ytmp3.cc/ whenever there was a slight issue like copyrighted music being in a video preventing the first from converting it.
however, as of today, it seems clipconverter is being a dick. I downloaded 3 videos, just 3 and now every time i try to convert another video for download, it tells me the website has notice a large number of requests from the network i'm using and, for safety reasons, needs me to confirm i'm not a robot by doing a test.
now, this is nothing new, per say. granted, it normally only did that when i downloaded over 20 videos in a short span of time, but doing the test wasn't something i minded too much.
however, the problem is, when i click on the box that says "I am not a robot" to continue, i get a message saying due to their desire to protect their users, clipconverter cannot process my request and to try again later.
and i have "tried later", multiple times.
so, not only have i essentially been locked out of clipconverter's services, but it was only after a measly 3 videos.
Thankfully, there is a light at the end of that tunnel. when it says it can't on the network, it strictly means the Library's computer network, which is what i use all the time now and will continue to until i move in with my dad in about 6 months and once i'm using the computer network in my dad's place, it'll be a totally different network, so there should be no more issues so long as i'm careful.
however, downside is, that's still about 6 months from now, which is 6 months where i won't be able to use clipconverter at all, period.
now, i do still have the other two downloading websites i mentioned, though i'm a bit hesitant with them compared to clipconverter for one reason or another. i'll still use them and am thankful for them, but i did prefer clipconverter.
i have also stumbled upon https://youtubeconvert.cc/ just recently and it seems okay, so i should be fine. i just would've rather this problem not rear its head in the first place, especially since it was just so random when it happened.
google YTD downloader and ANT downloader
Perhaps it is happening as a warning... 'A canary in a coal mine' and all that...
Wouldn't be the first time something like that happened to a site like that.

you mean, like something bad is happening to the site or that my using the site will cause something bad to happen. because if it were the latter, it would've happened ages ago, as I've been using it since March of last year

Thinking more on the site having been attacked, or, if the Gov have managed to gain a couple braincells, set it up as a trap.
But, I've got no idea mate.
VLC has similar functions, it just takes a little work to do

I don't know if you want to check this other one out but there always Peggo and it rarely says I can't download something. You can download the video in a music format or a video format and you can also chose what res you want it in.
If you to convert your music after downloading it, try the VLC Media Player software. Good luck!
Do you only download the videos for mp3 (music) or mp4 (video/audio)?
If just mp3, download Audacity. Record your computer's speaker output (not via a mic, theres an option builtin to record what your computer is outputting). Mute everything, then record, and play the song. Output as an mp3 and viola, mp3 converted.
Best part is, you dont have to use shady websites which shut down all the time (and could potentially be hosting many viruses)...
It's just a suggestion, but you could maybe try either https://y2mate.com/ or https://youtubemp3free.org/ if you want/need any other websites to use.
