Some folks were asking for a new Those Who Ride chapter for Hearthswarming. Unfortunately, that story requires a certain submersed mind-set (deep in The Song of Ice and Fire lore and Dothraki conlang details) that I couldn't recover in time for an editable draft.
Instead, I ended up expanding on one of hipsterdom's perennial gags, the seasonal construction and malicious destruction of enormous Swedish goats made out of straw. Thus, Wicker Princesses. It's technically a sequel of sorts to In the Company of Night and Some Other Pony's Destiny, but you don't need to have read either of those in order to follow the story, I think. It's just when it comes to a very recently returned Luna trying to understand modern-day Equestria's stranger traditions, I had some characters and tropes ready-made to hand.
Sorry I couldn't get back into the Sunset-horse mindset, folks. Hope you like the consolation prize.
