"Recently with the restructurings to the changeling government, there's been a lot of internal tensions. This one is apparently the ringleader of a resistance group and he's been pretty outspoken. We don't think he's done anything drastic yet, but the leader is concerned and wanted us to have a talk with him."
"Good afternoon, sir."
"The hell do you want?"
"Just doing a check of the neighborhood."
"Uh-huh."
"You haven't seen anything suspicious, have you?"
"Like what?"
"Just, things."
"What things?"
"Okay, I'm gonna be honest sir, the leader of the hive is a little concerned about opposition to his rule, and he just wants to make sure you're not going to hurt anybody."
"Why would he think that?"
"Because he says you've been going around clonking other changelings in the head."
"I did it one time."
"He said you've done it five times."
"Whatever, five times. He can't handle me causing trouble so he had to bring in the fuzz?"
"It's not like that, sir."
"We changelings can handle our own problems, ya know."
"I understand that, sir."
"You are pony cops, right? You aren't changelings trying to sting me?"
"Not at all, sir."
"Okay, because if you are changelings, you have to tell me, that's the law."
"I'm not a changeling, he's not a changeling."
"Fine them, you ponies can go tell the big leader I ain't planning anything, and if he doesn't trust me, he can come talk to me himself."
"We'll do that, but for now, what he'd like us to do is to take a look around your place, make sure everything is in order."
"Seriously? You think I'm gonna let you into my home?"
"We're asking nicely, sir. Given that all properties within hive grounds are the property of the leader of the hive, though, we are within full rights to petition him for a search warrant. So it's the two of us, or we come back with four friends and a sniffer dog."
"Tch, fine. Let's get this over with."
"So it turns out the suspect was hoarding smoke bombs and alchemy reagents for mixing some minor chemical weapons. We're taking him to the leader so they can sort this out internally, but since this is a national security matter now, we're calling in the royal guard to take over the investigation and work with the changelings on this."
"Didn't think they'd check the crawlspace..."
I don't know. That evidence could've planted, especially if Trixie was one of the investigators.
