Low Effort Made Video Games?

Don't you think many video games were made with very little effort? They seem to recycle the same game over and over. Many games have little to nothing that has been changed from the previous version.

IMO this is as much a myth as there being no good movies or songs in the modern day. This year had a ton of amazing games.

sadly true for most games, but there are still some left, that try to innovate. Zelda for example. After skyward Sword wasnt as good as they hoped, they took everything bad About it and reversed it, the result: Breath of the wild.

Also if a series is using the same Formula, it CAN be good, if they use it to screw with your expectations. Danganronpa for example uses the same Story on Purpose, so Players are encouraged to try to predict the Story based on the previous installments, just so they can lead you on the wrong track.

That can be said for anything. Entertainment, food, vehicles; if you don't put effort into something, it's almost guaranteed to be bad.
