The attacks on anime are ridiculous · 6:32pm Oct 1st, 2023
I am sorry about this blog, but anime as in japanese cartoons made in japan are under attack by western moral puritans, because it doesn't adhere to their moral standards. This strikes me as a very imperialistic mindset, not everyone has to adhere to our values.
And what's worse some old idiot in charge of some company might listen to these idiots. I feel like I'm screaming into the void but I feel like I have to do something. What kind of person just looks at things they do not like and constantly complain about it?
Socio-cultural imperialism. One of the great problems of the western world. Especially of the US after the rise of the social justice mentality.
I just find it funny how people get pissed about another country not following their mentality. Like, contrary to popular belief, no, Americans are not in the center of the world like they like to believe.
It's also funny because a lot of Japanese Manga outsells and outshines American comic books by a wide margin, making up about 53% of the market. Most people know what stories they like and which appeals to them more.
I haven't heard anything about anime being under attack.
But it is ridiculous, but it's nothing new.
Anime has always been ridiculed and changed, hopefully the ones in charge won't listen to the cryers.

As someone whose entirety of their childhood years and the majority of their teenage years were smack dab in the middle of the Satanic Panic, I can confidently say Evangelical Christians.

And they will throw every buzzword at you if you do not buy their product even if what they are making is garbage. Insulting potential customers seems to be the go-to strategy. They seem to be passionate about insulting old fans because these old fans did not like the 'new' and 'improved' product. They try to reach out the 'wider audience' with a product that is designated for nerds. It is going to be pretty hard to convince my friend who just likes football to play Dungeons and Dragons with me. No matter how hard I try I think it's impossible. And I'm not even going to make an attempt. Certain forms of entertainments are a niche product.

I guess there are some people in this world who like to ruin people's fun. Take a scenario of people are watching the early seasons of South Park. These bunch of guys are together drinking beer and having fun, and then some guy comes along and says that's offensive and turns it off. They must get a kick out of ruining people's fun. I like to call them the fun police.

Some ugly-ass mfs get offended because they can't accept the fact that they aren't good-looking. And the funny part is they can look if good if they just take care of themselves. But instead they attack the stuff that doesn't comply with their personal agenda.
I have to say, and sorry for the rant in advance, it is almost impressive how much people can make a fuss about stuff that has no relevancy in their own lifes. The SJW movements destroy everything even remotely fun and i am not sure if they even realize this themselves. And it is not just the Manga Industry. Comics, Music, TV, Movies, hell even Comedians get under attack for doing their job, telling Jokes. Fun Police is not quite fitting, Fun-Stasi or Fun-SS would be better.
There is a reason why the Manga outsell Comics. We have several examples of Comics where the main writer basically treated the entire project like a self-insert Fanfiction. Now I don't mind such things, considering what site we are on but when someone wants to be commercially successive they need to bring out a good product.....the Comics I talk about are not good. And then having the gall to call people out and insult them because they do not like the waste of paper the Comic writers presented the public. Same with the movie and streaming industry. We have some of the most disliked pieces of media out and about, Velma as an example and look what happened. I mean for Pete's sake, the term 'go woke, go broke' is there for a reason.

And what makes it sadder, we have people in companies who listen to these people, and even hire these people for some reason.
