Hardest Boss Fight You Ever Won? · 8:16am July 13th
Icewind Dale's Belhifet. I played it on Heart of Fury (hardest difficulty).
Oh boy, this fight is insane. Let me try lay out the fight, the floor in which you fight the boss is riddled with traps, which can't be disarmed. which deploy poisonous gas clouds, and spell disables (removing buffs) the second before the fight starts Belhifet casts dispel on your entire party, removing any buffs you tried to make before the fight started, and then fires a chance of a poisonous gas cloud at you (which I seen happen) Belhifet has huge amount of hit points, and teleports around the room, and even your most tanky character won't last long when hits you in melee, and also a chance getting poison damage from his blades. He's also 2 tanky iron golem and 2 demons to help him. Each one being an absolute joke to fight.
I think I died about 50 times trying to take him on. I flipped out in rage many times. In order to beat him I had to replay the game about ten times (same characters and start with my character again high leveled from the very start) and get all my characters max level to 30 but even then it was next to impossible. I slowly chipped away at his HP, getting my tanky dwarf character to go in give him a few hits with his axes, before running away to get some heals, and trying to avoid traps on the floor at the same time. My mage's main role was casting summons to keep Belhifet and his minions distracted. In desperation I would try summon my own demons to try help, unfortunately I would often step on a dispel trap and my protection from evil would be removed, and thus my demons would attack me instead. My characters were drip feeding healing potions to keep them alive.
Eventually, I managed to win. But it was painfully hard. My tanky dwarf saved the day by slowly chipping away at him with his axes, before running away to get heals and try to avoid traps on the floor. My dwarf would need to drink both healing potions to restore his HP and get heals from a cleric, and drink cure poison potions.
As far as the one I died to the most, in recent memory,
probably Master Mode BotW Thunderblight Ganon
His speed attacks were annoying af. I would tilt before I could get the parry timing down.
But I did eventually beat him.
I went a diffeent route to Beihfet. My "tank" if you could call them that was a dual wielding half orc 19 strength sword saint with grand mastery in long swords (name? Saddle Rager, of course), and my usual battle tactic was "I can kill you faster than you can kill me"
granted I wasn't on Heart of Fury mode, because if I wanted to be a true masochist I'd go back to beating my head against Elden Ring.
There's a lot of bosses from the kingdom hearts series I could put here.
But my pick is going to go with Riku 4 from re chain of memories.
The reason being is that this boss is a massive, unexpected difficulty spike and he basically requires you to use a core mechanic of the game that most players myself included likely haven't even used in the game at all or very minimally.
I am convinced Riku 4 is almost impossible to beat by the average player if you try to ignore the slieght mechanic and try to play the game "Legit" with no cheese strategies.
The cherry on top is that if you forget to save after the fight, the game immediately and unexpectedly thrusts you into another fight against Laxene which is arguably just as hard.
