Greeting fellow readers and authors. Dilos1 here with an important announcement to make regarding my story, Eventide.
As you all are aware, writing for it began a little over a year ago. A few chapters were added in the following weeks, and then. . . nothing.
Nothing but silence as the author of the story went quiet, leaving you all wondering when, or even if there would be an update to the story that you were kind enough to add to your shelves.
For that, I am deeply sorry. Words cannot express my guilt in leaving you like this. And here I am now, having dragged myself out of the literary tomb that many other authors have fallen into, with a renewed sense of duty to finish what I have started. I owe it to you all at least.
In rereading my tale, I have come to the conclusion that part of the reason why I had distanced myself from it is due to the fact that, in truth, I did not know what I wanted to do with it. I had a rough approximation of a plan in mind, true, but that was it. An idea, a rough draft, and looking back, it was not that great. Really not great. If I written it out as it was initially planned out, it would have left both you and myself nothing but a bitter taste on the tongue. Life outside my writing had also done its best to keep me distracted.
So, I scrapped it, and have since chosen to rewrite Eventide, at least from the second chapter onward. The first chapter I feel is currently fine in getting the ideas I want to convey across, but I plan to at least go back and touch it up, smooth it out and all that to make it even better. Already in the process of that as I write this blog post.
And then, after that is when the fun really starts, and purpose finally begins to steer this errant tale in a proper direction. The first few chapters have already been rewritten, and I wish to continue onward so that I at least have something more to offer when I eventually publish them. It will not be tomorrow. It very likely will not be within the month, but I do plan to publish it soon.
I only hope that you are patient with me while I attempt to make amends for past wrongs, even though I have done nothing to earn your patience.

I hope life's going well for you.
And don't worry about anything. Lord knows I've had to scrap/redo my fair share of ideas. I know the struggle.
These things happen. I have the same issue with several of my stories.
Don't worry, just take your time. Good fans know how to wait patiently.

Not gunna lie I'm very happy to know we'll get some more Eventide, but I will say don't be so hard on yourself. The fact you came back to say this already puts you in good standing with pretty much everyone.
