    River City Equestria Girls?

Seriously, that's Pinkie Pie on the left, and Rainbow Dash on the right. Tell me I'm wrong.

I will not write a fanfic about the two of them getting into all the fights.

    Probably.

An "I don't have livejournal anymore" sort of update.

    It snowed yesterday.

Which just reminded me how much I don't like winter. It wasn't even a bad snow, just enough of a dusting to linger for a little bit. First one of the season. And I even had the day off from work, due to my schedule, so it's not like I had to do anything ...

    So I didn't.

    Happy Halloween!

So yeah. Despite various distractions (Steam had Darkest Dungeon for UNDER FOUR BUCKS), I've managed to hammer out a ridiculously shippy conclusion to the self indulgent Rarijack story I started.

So that's fun? I gave myself a deadline to finish things on Oct 31, so that's what I did, dangit. Hopefully you guys will enjoy.

Who wants to read a THING? · 6:15pm Nov 6th, 2018

HEY NERDS.

So, for the whole, like ... twelve of you (At least those Americans who are over 18). actually reading this, GO VOTE. It's super important, and you get a sticker.

In other news, I'm slowly chipping away at my NaNoWriMo project. And thus far, it's ... meeeeh. I'm averaging about 1000 words a day, which is less than the NaNoWriMo standard, but it's more than I'd been writing before, so ... yay?

BUT, because the internet has ruined me, I find myself craving instant gratification wondering if a second set of eyes might help me determine if I'm going in the right direction or not.

It's funny, as this project's SUPPOSED to be something akin to the Flash Sentry Papers (i.e: snarky, first-person narration), but in writing it out things are becoming a little more ... well, I'm not sure if I'd say 'straightforward,' but the narration's turning out to be a bit older in style. More Dumas than Fraser (which fits, given people are chasing each other around with rapiers, but still). It's probably because I'm reading some Steven Brust right now, 'cause Steven Brust is awesome.

Furthermore, it's kind of interesting in that the whole point of the Flash Sentry Papers is to contrast an already-known setting with a proper scoundrel in order to provide commentary on both, but trying to work this into fantasyland makes things considerably harder.

So yeah. Anybody care to read a couple thousand words of swordfighting and snappy banter and then tell me what you think about it? Lemme know and I'll PM you or something.

I'm certainly willing to give it a once-over.

I'm game. Not sure WHEN I'll be able to read it, but I will do so.

I voted! Yay Cap!

And I’m also interested in swashing and bucklingw

I voted, so that makes me one of the twelve (Am I a disciple now?).
Your new thing sounds interesting.

Brust is awesome! :pinkiehappy:

I'd love to read your thing. I'm travelling today and tomorrow, so I might be a bit slow with feedback, though.

Remember to take off your sticker before you go vote a second time!
