Changing Update Schedule · 7:13pm Oct 23rd, 2018
I've been giving this a lot of thought and I think for the time being I'll be changing to an update every two weeks, rather than every week. Essentially I've hit the point where I'm writing just off of my outline and notes and have very little pre-written. Rather than try to rush to hit an arbitrary deadline I want to really make sure of the quality of my story as it heads into its third and final arc and be certain that it is well written. That said, I'm not planning on writing less, just that I want more time to edit and write.
As it stands, it may only be for this next four or five weeks, because depending on how things go I may end up with a few chapters logged ahead that will permit me to comfortably move back to my once-per-week schedule. Writing 15k+ words a week, though, is pretty punishing so I can't deny a part of this is just to reduce the strain and stress on myself.
I never want to feel like writing Gilda and Sunset is a chore, you know?
Anyways, sorry to disappoint you all, I know a lot you look forward to reading an installment of this every week, but I'd rather aim for quality over quantity and I'm sure most of you would agree with that.
Cheers,
I-A-M
Absolutely take whatever time you need.
Take your time, we can wait for perfection.
I agree take your time.
Aye, I'd rather good than fast, and of course you're already giving us cheap. Thanks for the update on things, though. :)
15k+ words a week?! Holy crap man, that's hardcore!

Each chapter of Featherfall was written over the span of a week. The few times I haven't had the time due to other obligations or work is why I slowly worked through my backlog.

Egad man. I have so much freaking respect for that. I know the pain of writing The Novel. And doing it that quickly?

It's back to short stories for me once mine is out!
