So, Bassdrops and Bowstrings Finally Got a Review After All These Years... · 4:00am Oct 9th, 2018
After all this time, my big Fic finally got a review. Two years of work writing it, with almost three years of editing and fine tuning. I poured everything I am into this story. I gave it all the love I have for the fandom's musicians, the characters I love, and the fandom itself.
You know, nothing kills my desire to write any faster than things like this... 
Think I'm just gonna go watch some Season 8 now and eat a bucket of ice cream, Rarity style. I was so goddamn excited but now I wish I'd just kept the story to my fans.
I want to point out, I hold nothing against the reviewer. They gave their best and honest opinion with the time presented to them. Still, I thought my fic was better than that... I think I'm just done for a while...

Eh, don't let it get you down too much. This reviewer had some predisposed opinions on writing about music that I didn't agree with, parts I really enjoyed.
Take critiques as another free tool in your arsenal, not as an insult.

Hey if it makes you feel any better, there's been a lot of stories that I've read that I thought were simply awesome that the reviewers from Reviewer's Cafe have deemed worthy of rejection.
I loved it. Been a while since I read it, but it was really good.
Damn, 50/50, really... eh to each their own. He must not of really like the story. But after all these years and he is the only one to review, just wow.
And you said you went in wanting to be reviewed, well you have, not just by him but by all of us, and I know for a FACT that people love the story. So when one person, one tells their opinion, remember, its only one person.
I love your work man and I hope to read more in the future.

Don’t let that review get you down, it’s been a long time since I read your story, but as I recall it was a very well done piece that made it onto my favorites list, which is reserved only for stories that really stand out to me.
I would like to point out something though, you have a lot of views on that story as well as a fantastic looking up-vote bar. Even if you get one bad review, a lot of people still enjoyed your story.
And for the record, I’ve read a lot of Octavia and Vinyl stories, yours is somewhere in my top three stories featuring those two. I think your story is also somewhere in my top ten story list as well.
