Did I kill Don't You Dare? · 11:32pm Oct 4th, 2018

I noticed a rather large drop of viewers in the last few Chapters and wanted to ask, did the Fall of Equestria arc destroy Don't You Dare? If you think there's another/other reason, then please, let me know.

I love the story and will keep reading, but I must admit that whole arc was done too quickly and just adding too much.
I mean he is overpowered, but to just up and create an army with quirky leaders that honestly hadme just skipping large sections of the story to just get through it.

I personally think the arc was good but I think it's just a lot of people are leaving because of the long wait time between each chapter.

Yeah, i was just worried to make it too long like the naruto arc of Don't You Dare. I am planning about making 'interludes' for the Mathael's pupils to give them the Character they possibly lack. Also, he used up all of his gathered execution points that he had to make them, they are not a '*snap* *poof* and there is your army' scenario. As for the Pupils themselves, they are not almight, not even clost to Mathael's power and may do mistakes as they are like Children who are learning like when Artemis asked Mathael why he did certain actions or why sepheropha didn't understand why Mathael was helping or in Argus scenario, he was very stubborn and couldn't even break the ice while Mathael just needed a strong punch to destroy it.

It might have to do with the increased time between chapter releases, I know that sometimes readers will start waiting for chapters to stockpile when that happens, though I don't see the point when letting 3 chapters of this story stockpile would leave them with the same level of reading as a Harry Potter book.

Well, I can't do much in that case. In the beginning, I could do whatever I want, there weren't any rules, but now I have to go into detail, like intensionaly and smart hidden hints for the future, bits and pieces that fit to the past like the part where the two Mares saw the Star map, the code was the same from one of Faust and Mathael's first talk and much more. Another reason is that I hit a part that I hate, said part is when I reach a Don't Get Cocky moment where I barely can change anything, no room for the stuff that I enjoy like letting my imagination flow, copying is boring and takes away my fun thus slows updates down. I have reached finaly a part again where I can write free again. Btw the next Chapter is already 13k long

That actually made me laugh and I answered or rather commented your comment for some else already, just look through my answers on this blog and then you have my explanation. Although A rewritten Past could be a small part of the delay between Chapters.

Yep pretty much that

Will keep reading over here

Yay! It would be weird if I mentioned you and you didn't even like the Story anymore.

JDH

Maybe it has to do with people re-reading the fic

nah... it's a combination of things. long wait time, and the arc was past paced, with a bunch of stuff in it. imma keep reading.. with the other two gone, you're our only hope.

Love the story so far

People like consistency, it's part of the consumer mindset. Just post more often and that should do for some of the views on the recent chapters, there are other various other problems that I can see but they were already mentioned by other commenters.
Keep it up man I'm really enjoying the story.

You didnt kill it

personally I think it's more of a pacing problem alongside a long wait for more releases. Your most recent chapter came a month after a long, 44k word one and is only 14k words long for example. Similar authors who put out long chapters usually will have a 20k+ word chapter after a month's wait, or will be releasing smaller ones around 12-15k words every 2 or so weeks.

So basically what's killing it is the wait, not the arc.

It's the long wait still love the story :pinkiesad2::twilightsmile:
whene the next chapter comes those veiws will go up again:pinkiehappy::pinkiehappy:

I'm kinda forgot about your story.I know you might be busy, but when you wait so long you try to find new stories.:fluttershysad:

I love the story, but I'm just waiting for more chapters, people get busy, or wait for more, not your fault, just keep going

Not even near the end of what’s written and I want more of Don’t you dare!
