The Hiatus and Scheduling Bureau with a Probable Ocellus · 3:36pm Sep 29th, 2018

...and that's that. With the release of Appreciating a Gift Horse or a Herd of Them, this story's officially under a hiatus until, at most, November 6. I know that I'd planned to have the Conversion Bureau short story be, well, short (three to five chapters), but Ocellus has something to do with it.

Seeing Ocellus's arc in What Lies Beneath made me remember a fan comic about Ocellus's introspection of her changeling self, especially under the light of what she used to be before Chrysalis's overthrow. So, after the TCB short story, maybe I'll go write a short Ocellus-focused fic during Chrysalis's final days and right after Thorax's installment as king. That'll be fun.

Also, I'm severely overestimating the number of ideas I have for Turn. I'm thankful that Rollercoaster of Friendship is out in full on YouTube so that I can write about Vignette in this weird world without anything weighing down on my conscience. Even then, I'm on the way to scrambling for something usable to turn into something decent, so I'm hedging my bets on Turn for now.

As for the TCB mediumfic and the Earth-meets-Equestria stories later in the year, I hope they'll still launch starting midway through November. If God is willing, that is. He leads His people places and if it means breaking my schedule for His, then I'll roll with it.

:)

Sorry to bother you about this schedule change. Have a good day!

Sounds like a plan. *boops*

Ah! Long time no see! What've you been doing?

4945433
I'm still writing and studying stuff. I'm at home, chilling. Going to church and waiting for Doctor Who to start.

4945439
I see. Anyway, how's your Armada Trilogy? I myself haven't read much of it...or much of fan fiction these days, considering my time and having to choose what's relevant to my future fics so it ends up being a subtle and fun research experience as well. :twilightblush:

4945443
Oh, yeah, :twilightoops:, I'm still writing Volume II, which i hope to finish soon, then I'll get round to Volume III in 2019, because I would like to write some other stories, preferably shorter ones. I've found that longer stories just tires me out and I get writer's block whenever I'm trying organise a story.

4945446
OK, then! Strangely, I'm the opposite. I'm OK with longer stories. It's the short ones that bother me, because I have to fit in a lot of content in, well, a short story and, for some reason, I require more work on a short story than a long one.

Anyway, I've checked your profile page and you seem to be helping out other writers. I myself have never edited, worked with, or pre-read anyone else's fics here mostly out of time restraints...so, how's the collaboration experience?

It's great to work with other users. I rarely change anything to their content, as it's their story, so I only work on making the story sound smooth and correct any grammar/spelling errors. It's fun to write alongside with another person, though it consumes my time for when I'm writing. Not to moan or anything.

4945456
It does sound great, doesn't it? I feel selfish considering I have pre-readers for my stories but I myself don't collaborate with anyone else for their stories. :twilightsheepish:

...so, you mentioned Doctor Who. Any thoughts on the new Doctor or have they not started the season/series yet?

  1. I'm not one of those sexiest guys who is like; "Oh, the Doctor should be a dude!" I'm chill with it. If Jodie Whittaker can pull it off, which I'm sure she can, then I'll keep watching.
  2. Show starts 7th October... on a Sunday! (mind blown)
  3. The actress swears a tad bit, though. I'm kind of sad about that:(

That's all I've got so far.

4945471
Any particular reason why a Sunday premiere would blow your mind (other than it being a weekend)? :unsuresweetie:

4945481
I'm guessing they want more viewers. It's understandable.

4945483
Yeah, I agree.

Anyway, I gotta go soon. It's nice talking to you.
