Hiatus Update + New Story · 6:26pm Jul 7th, 2018
Hi everyone!
LAST BLOGPOST WAS INTENSE HAHA To be honest, I'd been avoiding logging onto Monochromatic for a while, but certain things have happened that have helped with my depression a lot.
I'm going to see a psychiatrist next Thursday, so that's something to look forward to. I've also finally just caved in an put the hiatus and canceled tags on a few stories I knew where never going to update it. Tailor of the Crown is on hiatus until further notice, Death's Stolen Diamonds is canceled because I actually want to use that for original fiction, and The Enchanted Kingdom is also on publishing hiatus until such a time I have enough chapters buffered up. I've actually felt better writing it now that I don't have the pressure to update.
I've also been working on a new story and updating it rather frequently, which you can find below. It's something different that has been helping me with my writer's block, which is all I could ever ask for. The reason it already has stuff is because it was in alternate account but can now be found in this one.

Aww, darn, it's going to go away at some point? I really liked that one, so not being able to re-read it (eventually?) is kinda sad.
I'm really glad something helped, and that you can visit professional help too. I wish you the best of luck in getting better.

Take your time. I don't know how people manage to keep up the pace that many do. I know my art/writing suffer when I try to force it.

Crimson Lips was you? I knew it! I said it there, but it bears saying again: it's really good.
I was in a discussion the other day with someone who wanted to write about "dangerous" subjects like those without proper understanding of what makes them tick and how to handle them without them blowing up in your face and producing a massive comments storm or even ruining your reputation as a credible author. That story is an example of how to do it well. I could probably write a really long comment analyzing why, but for now I'll just say thanks for writing it and I'm glad it as a story could help.
(It's also the first thing I've read since EFNW!)

It's good to hear that you are talking with someone who can help, Mono. Having been down (and continuing to walk down) that road I can tell you it has helped me. I sincerely hope you find solace and can work through things with their help.

I'm glad you've decided to see a psychiatrist, honestly, I think everyone should see one, kinda hard to see a downside in having someone to talk to, at least in my opinion. I hope you and the doc click well together!
Still planning on reading Crimson Lips, like, I'm glad my read it Later list is so full so I have plenty of reading material but...so much reading material! @_@
I'll definitely have to download Death's Stolen Diamonds...that story just has such a presence about it, if that makes sense. I hope you don't ever up and disappear from the community, I think my life would be a touch less bright without being able to read the non-pony original fiction version of Death's Stolen Diamonds whenever it hits the printing press!
