Don't do that. Your story not following lore just makes it original.
LOL yeah the new lore is pretty amazing, I don't think that you need to redo your story though. Just like in the game you could have your warframe not know about any of how the warframes are made out of certain materials (no spoilers here) and eventually find it out. Introducing a frame like Umbra could be fun. You could even introduce him by having the main characters run into him. And as for how you maid the Tenno in the story could still work because the (i believe it has been a while) injection would be a more updated and form. If you want to talk more pm me because I don't want to spoil anything before it hits Xbox or PS.
Please don't.
Your story is one of the best Warframe stories around here, and I'd be sad to see it go.
yeah no offence friend but i gotta say it SUCKS TO BE YOU although i shouldn't be talking i haven't even figured out what i'm going to do for my first story
You could just put a disclaimer saying that it is based on Warframe lore up to to x date or x patch.
Plus, I don't play the game so all I know of it is what you put in this story.
I feel bad for you, but... Players have known the Lotus was a Sentient since the Natah quest. As well as finding out the Orokin made them around the time of the second dream. So... Maybe go back and tweak what you think might need it?
But that's the beauty of fan fiction. You can shape the universe the way you want.
You ended with your warframe trying to come back to origin sistem to warn lotus about the betrail right? (i dont remember exact details read it some time ago) So mabe you could do it like "he was there for like idk Chains of harrow" and then the incident (your story started) hapend so he doesnt know about lotus going and stuff after. So when he comes back to origin he can like sudenly find out what hapened and you can incomporate umbra and Sacrifice and all that good stuff? thats just my idea, just trying to help.
Anyway keep up the good work
You don’t have to keep up-to-date with lore. You can keep your story as it is now and either ignore the new lore, or incorporate it into your story in your own way.
It’s just like new episodes of MLP don’t affect stories written beforehand. A story written in Season 5 doesn’t update to season 6. It’s the same idea, your story doesn’t have to update to the Sacrifice.
Ha. The new quest does make your current lore setup get boned by Mr.NoodleArm. Still a good story tho.
Just make it so that all the quests (eidolon plains, sacrifice, harrow,) happened all while Karn was in Equestria and he learns of it all once he gets coms to the origin system back up.
I would just say in the description "I have locked down the lore as of (QUEST HERE) and anything revealed afterwards will be dealt with on a case by case basis as to whether or not it fits into the story's canon"
I'm sure you can find a way to integrate the new quest into your story without a total rewrite. Even if you can't find a way, you don't really need to include the new lore into the story.
May Clem guide you.

Think he's referring to Lotus reverting to Natah, the possibility that Ballas was working for the Sentients, the Warframes being Truly alive and how the Tau system is likely to be our next battleground.

Mmm, fair enough.

I think that the original Warframes were made from living subjects, but those ended up being failures. Ballas created Umbra as a sort of punishment, and to keep him silent about his eventual betrayal. The current Warframes aren't made from people, only from semi-organic parts (Plastids, Nano Spores, etc.) That's just my opinion though, I think the story can still go the current direction, the newest lore can come into play later, if at all.

I said the Warframes were alive, never said they were once Humans. As a matter of fact, Ordis implies that the Warframes were brain-bleached clones of the Umbra Warframes.
