First off, a nice shiny new avatar which I borrowed from Google Images.
If any of you can find the source for it, I invite you to please leave that information for me in the comments here so that I can give credit to the artist on my user page.
Why was it changed from the cute Echo?
Well, without bothering you guys too much on the details, the artist who created that image and I were long-term "Friends" (Explanation for the quotes below in a nutshell) and she and I had a significant falling out. The permanent kind. I simply no longer wanted to see something that would remind me of her every time I log in here. Those of you who want a little more detail, see the section between bold lines:
If you do not want to hear / you do not care about the small dramas in the life of a highly caffeinated writer, then please skip to the next bold line.
That "friend" of mine is also the reason I have been so absent from this site and my writing as a whole. Again, keeping the drama to a minimum, she was extremely high-maintenance, and I realize now not actually a good friend for me to have in my life. The period where I was actively writing again was all during a time when I didn't have her involved in my life, and when I stopped writing is when she came back into it. She drained my energy and demanded a great deal more of my attention than a friend has any right to. I won't bother you with any further details of the situation, unless you want to hear them, in which case feel free to ask in the comments below.
Drama over.
In short, friends, I'm back, and I'm officially working on the next chapter for Integration as of this date and time.
I love you all, and I thank those of you who are still here for continuing to be as patient as you have been. It is truly exceptional, and I can only hope to live up to your expectations.

I live in Arizona, it's an absolute nightmare on the weather front.

Good thing in my part of Germany it's realtively ok. now that it rained a few minutes.
And you don't drink beer to get drunk, but to enjoy it. for getting drunk I would reccomend Stroh80. most people only need one glass of it. Though some are really
bravestupid, like me, and manage half or a whole bottle.nontheless, thanks for the new chapter and good luck with the weather.

Mead ist mein Favorit.
Einige amerikanische Biere sind gut, aber sehr wenige.
Mein Deutsch ist arm.
I only took a few classes in German when I was a kid, we mostly learn Spanish in my area of the US, lol.
Yeah, you can find some local breweries that make good beer, but the big companies just make piss water.

Well for the 'few classes' your german is decend enough to undestand without problem. that is more than I have here sometimes...
Oh and fun fact: In germany are some breweries that are not capable od making proper beer either...
Good thing I don't drink much beer and enjoy mead and rum much more.

Mead is amazing.
I'm hoping to get the money together to get myself all the equipment to make my own mead soon. It's the drink of the Gods, I tell you. 🍻

Never made it myselfm I relied more on the parents of a good frined who made some of the best mead I ever had. too bad they stopped making it... probably because they had to fight keeping their bees alive.
