    The Bean is loose!

Okay. Somebody left the front gate open, and Baked Bean has gotten out and wandered off again.

If you happen to spot him, do not approach, do not get him wet, do not expose to direct sunlight, and whatever you do, don't feed him after midnight. (It makes him gassy.)

    Follow up to Bleh

    Modmyths asks:

Have you thought about starting up a Go Fund Me for it?

(It being my broken water line, just to be clear.)

The answer is no, I hadn't thought of that.

    But!

I went out and got more bids, and found a general contractor who could do the job for 3k.

    A Correction

It has come to the attention of management that a typographical error has occurred in chapter 13 of New Noses Know.

Specifically, the name of the thestral being interviewed by Garbanzo and Lima Bean. The story egregiously listed her name as Short Shift.

    Her name is Night Shift.

This Nose Chapter 2 correction · 4:08pm May 23rd, 2018

SPOILER AHEAD IF YOU HAVE NOT READ CHAPTER 2 OF THIS NOSE KNOWS!

From Double R Forrest:

"Y'know, I was rereading this, and I felt like something was amiss. Then I realized what it was: where's this Fava? You know, the one who got a whole description of her obsession of Celestia:

“Very much. She has just about any merchandise that relates to you, and that’s all she ever wants for Hearth’s Warming and Birthday gifts. She has posters of you up in her room, and plush dolls, and the books you’ve authored. She’s even been saving up for the last few months so she could make the trip to Canterlot and meet you face-to-face. There was a bit of concern that she would spontaneously combust with happiness when she heard about the marriage. She’ll be beyond the moon happy to actually have a chance to talk to you.”

This was mentioned in the beginning of the chapter, yet she's never even mentioned during the reunion... what's up with that?:rainbowhuh:

My reply:
An excellent question, and one that I don't have an answer for. I think I had some scene that tied into it, but I never quite got to it.

So, as the scene does not help the plot of the story, I will ax it. The idea of that whole section was to provide the first hints that Bean had a good family, and I'll rework it to better reflect that.

One must never place a loaded rifle on the stage if it isn't going to go off. It's wrong to make promises you don't mean to keep.

Instead of axing it, just have her at the reunion -- and fainting immediately. She's now out of the rest of the reunion scenes as she always just faints.

That is tempting...:trixieshiftright:

use a line break to but the preview in the future

One of these days I'll learn how to do things properly. :facehoof:

Meh, learning curves. Everyone has them, as long as you learn eventually it's all good.

Sadly, in my case that eventually is the key. :twilightsheepish:

Except, Chekov isnt always right. The gun doesn’t need to go off in this chapter or story. This is the type of plot hole that makes for future stories. Maybe add something about how disappointed Fava was because she got called away for an emergency or something. But I don’t think it should be removed.
