After reading only the prologue, I am very glad I asked for this, and almost want to read the entire thing translated to Chinese, then re-translated by google, I also find it funny that most of the time, Twilight's name is Dawn, even though that's the exact opposite time of Twilight's namesake... Also the fact that google can't decide if the characters are male or female is hilarious. Also the name Ping Qi has to be the best thing ever
Edit: After reading the second chapter, this translated version of Change has probably become one of my favorite things, and the fic you guys were talking about in the video is something I feel just needs to happen...

Thank you for liking the story and my translation. But I have to clear something about the translation since Google Traslation never does well in translating stories.
For the translation of "Twilight Sparkle", I used "暮光(which is what the bronies in PRChina usually use and just means Twilight)". Maybe Mr Google somehow accidentally got it wrong.

Google DID get it wrong, a lot of it. That's what's hilarious, the broken version of Change google translate creates because, well, google translate isn't the best at translation.

Yeah I see. It is funny that we also do things alike with Baidu here. Sometimes we type in a famous Chinese article ( usually from textbooks), translate it into English then back into Chinese for the "rich" translation Baidu provides.

By the way, I just tried it with Baidu. It did a better job than Google on Twilight. At least it seems to know that twilight isn't another spelling for dawn.
Translate it back and forth a few times and watch translate absolutely butcher it. lmao. Yeah google translate sucks. I am however re-reading this story as it is one of my favorites.

It was... weird to write. Even I question us sometimes...
We also did another reading of the translation re-translated to English on the latest episode of Jibber Jabber, only part way through we decided to have Skijarama (who is a professional voice actor) do it. It was hilarious what Google Translate did to the Chinese. That software has its reputation for inaccuracy for a reason. XD

Hey, don't worry about it. Your translation into Chinese is just fine. All the weirdness comes from Google translate not understaning Chinese properly, your hands are clean in this.
We know you put a lot of work into the translation, and have done a pretty good job with it. We always stress that point in the video so listeners don't get the wrong idea.

OMCWTH!? I just watched this and... How comes this turned out that hilarious? I guess I can explain where some of the silly moments come.
Now I see where all this evils are coming. The fan-made translation (which is most widely-used in PRChina) for Chrysalis is 邪茧.
邪 means evil. 茧 means cocoons. This name actually makes sense in Chinese. They added a 邪 to her name, because it is uncommon to have merely one Chinese Character for names, wherever the character is from, and Chrysalis is a villain in the show. Also, 茧 (the thing a larva put themselves in) sounds much more graceful than 蛹 (the thing a larva becomes during the metamorphosis) in Chinese.
As for seizure, it may have been 发作, which means (illnesses, disorders, drugs or poisons) began to act.
The mirror (倍镜, known as Longshot in the original) part was... Not quite wrong though. Because I recognized the name Longshot as a pun, both refering to him using the crossbow, and him being a little goofy and reckless. However, there's no such a word in Chinese that can contain both. So I had to alter his name into 远距倍镜 (sniperscope), which has a somehow annoying feeling due to over-popularity
on PRChina websitesof a game known as PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS on PRChina websites.Also, there's no expressions for nuzzle, raise an eyebrow, deadpan in Chinese, so the translationists here are always having trouble dealing with these.
It was such a laugh, though. I thought I was literally gonna laugh myself dead!
