R.I.P Stephen Hawking · 4:30pm Mar 14th, 2018
Renowned physicist Stephen Hawking, famous for his work on black holes and continuing his research long after being stricken with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, died yesterday at the age of 76.
Diagnosed with the disease in 1963 and given just three years to live, Hawking instead went on pursue a long academic career in astrology, ultimately leading to his landmark paper in the 1970's on his findings on black holes, namely that they were not actually black at all.
Despite his condition reducing him to the point of needing a special wheelchair and communicating v.i.a a computer, Hawking never stopped his studies. He traveled all around the world and even took part in a hot air balloon ride and a zero gravity plane ride in preparation for a space voyage that never came to pass.
Now his mind belongs to the cosmos he once studied so relentlessly.
Rest In Peace Mr. Hawking. Your contributions will be forever remembered, and you will be greatly missed.
May the great man of science forever rest in peace.
I raise my glass to him. One of the greatest
Thanks you for everything Mr. Hawking. Rest un peace.
Rest in Gravitational peace Mr. Hawking, wish Elon could sent up his body in a rocket heading to a "black" hole, would have been very fitting and I believe Mr. Hawking would have agreed. You will missed and honored forever in the world of science Mr. Hawking
The "s are cuz he said black holes aren't really black., comment if you think Musk should send Hawking's body up in a rocket headed for a black hole.
A brilliant man who defied the odds despite his condition, a man strong of mind who lived a good life n now he is one with the stars.
