So I probably won't get the next video up tonight because I have a shit-ton of fics to read and stuff to do and don't know if I'll get around to editing clips tonight, but I just did a screencap dump and server update, so I thought I'd make a little blog post highlighting a few screencaps from the game thus far.
Some of these, you'll probably have already seen in a previous blog.
Bana, male Saiyan, based on The Hulk. He's had a slight outfit upgrade since this was taken, but I don't have a screencap of that yet. The name is not intentionally a reference to Eric Bana, though it certainly fits the joke--the name is a loose romanization of how "Banner" would be rendered in Japanese (バーナー).
Bass, my Namekian. I also need to get a screencap of his updated outfit. His color scheme is largely based on Bass from the Mega Man franchise. I've created a backstory for this guy: he's actually Piccolo III, and as his duties as a Time Patroller often bring him into direct contact with Ma Jr. (the Piccolo we all know and love, aka Piccolo II), he's used Namekian magic to alter his body coloration to mitigate his strong resemblance to his parent/previous existence.
Coccinelle, Earthling female. Her appearance is loosely based on Marinette Dupain-Cheng, the protagonist of Miraculous Ladybug. She specializes in melee combat. Of all my characters, ironically she has the largest number of alternate costumes with a current total of four. The newest costume, not yet debuted in any of my gameplay videos:
Majin Sparkle, my female Majin race character. Very loosely based on Midnight Sparkle, she's 100% fanservice. Essentially a "black mage", her physical offense is decent, but her real forte is a variety of ki blasts.
Orion Prime, my Frieza-race character. I went into his design with the intention of making a Frieza version of Optimus Prime, and ended up with something that was halfway between Optimus Prime and Ultraman. Orion is, frankly, my best fighter out of all my characters. His physical and ki offense are balanced, he hits hard, and he hits a lot--my record best combo of 72 hits is with Orion. The only bad thing about him is his voice. I had no idea the voice I chose for him would be THAT obnoxious.
And then there's Pinkie Pie...

...we're gonna see her getting that in the next video when it goes up, right?

Yep.
Weird thing in XV2 is that once your Saiyajin character gets the Awoken Skill Super Saiyan? They instantly have access to SS1, SS2, and SS3. The determining factor on which transformation triggers when you activate it is how many bars of ki you have. 3 bars=SS1, 4 bars=SS2, 5 bars=SS3.
