    Well, color me impressed.

All 78 episodes on 2 discs, the translation is just as solid as the Hulu version, the subtitles are on by default, and they even translated the mid-episode character cards.

Well, because there was no TYT this week...

Here's an absolutely adorable tutorial on how to hug your pony from doubleWbrothers.

So I've been busy away from ponies... Again...

With my quest/race to get a Rainbow S on all of Freedom Planet 2's stages, my creativity lit up like a bonfire again, and I started crafting an alternate ending of sorts for the past week.

That story is now complete, and posted in its entirety over on AO3.

On Microtransactions
With AAA game publishers reporting record profits from microtransactions and researching ways to further implement them, I came to a realization tonight: they wouldn't be looking for even more ways to nickel-and-dime us if players weren't whipping their credit cards out, ready to be nickel-and-dimed.

So, thanks everyone who buys into MTX. You're the ones ruining AAA gaming, not the publishers.

On Cryptocurrency Miners
This has me even more pissed off. You fucking jackasses have pushed GPU prices to nearly 200% of MSRP prices. I hope your cards melt (so you can't resell your heavily abused cards), your houses burn down and you and your children freeze on the street. Slowly. But not too slow, so you'll all die off before winter comes to an end.

So now that's off my chest and I feel a bit better, let's end this on a good note.

Brady and I celebrated Valentine's Day early, and I'm finally out of debt. So yay!

Good for you miles. Meanwhile, I'll be celebrating Single Awareness Day.

I still dont get how it pays off nowdays with the GPU prices? (not just bitcoin but the less worth ones)

Some calculations i saw say you need to run your rig(s) at 24/7 for a year plus to make a profit. The card goes to hell by that point and you have to also take into account the electricity you pay. Heck companies now sell GPU's in 6packs for a few thousand dollars like its beer.

And now that its mainstream and the big investor types shortselling them like stocks and the prices go crazy. Took a large nosedive, now slowly rising but will take a nosedive again soon enough since its in the big players interest to make money off of its fluctuation.

Congrats on getting out of debt.

That's a sad thing about the video game market. And something thats helping me opt out of most new games as I just cant be bothered with their systems.. but I'm mostly annoyed at the fact that I cant find any Vega 64 Sapphire cards in NZ... All the proper priced ones are all just ...gone... I only want two of them for my editing/gaming rig upgrade....

Being out of debt is good. I would like to get there sometime too...

Now i have to wonder what kind of bear you buy to pay a few thousand for a six pack. :pinkiegasp:

---------------------------------------------

On a more serious note i doubt the few miners out there buy enough cards to notably impact card prices, i'd put that down more to the massive growth in computer gaming in recent years and retailer greed.

As of now, a6GB GTX 1060 six-pack(Founder's Edition orEVGA) is going for $3,780 USD, while a pack ofMSI Aero ITX OC GTX 1060 cardsis listed for $3,465. The high-endGTX 1080 has a six-packis priced at $6,300 as well--the GTX 1080 Ti is nowhere to be found, though. On the AMD side, theOEM 4GB RX 580 six-packis at $3,600, and theMSI Armor 8GB RX 580 bundleis going for $3,990. Even bundles for theRX 570 are marked upas high as the slightly faster RX 580.

Im sure the prices changed somewhat by now but its for mining so thats why they sell them in six-packs. (the first is 3,600$ instead of 3.7 lol)

Plus people build and sell "cases" that are meant to hold the 6 cards at once for mining.

Microtransactions and other continuous monetization strategies are designed to be psychologically manipulative. They're like "enhanced interrogation techniques;" you have to be continuously and consciously on guard against them to even have a chance of not knuckling under. While playing a video game, which is supposed to be fun and relaxing.

No, don't blame players. They're only human. The people who prey on their human weaknesses, on the other hand, are something closer to vampires.

So basically:
REEEEEEE FUCK PEOPLE WHO WANT TO PLAY THE GAME THEIR WAY AND DON'T THINK THEY ARE SINGLE HANDEDLY DESTROYING THE MARKET BECAUSE THEY SOMEHOW ARE
FUCK PEOPLE WHO UNDERSTAND THE POTENTIAL OF CRYPTOCURRENCY, I HOPE YOU DIE

I think you need to stop watching Him Sterling while you're angry.

...... okay explain the first one I'm REALLY fucking curious as is most everyone else.

One of the only friends I have left was complaining about this the other day. He was building a PC and was pissed off at how graphics card prices have shot up thanks to bitcoin miners -- I've known about it for years but didn't know it required high-end graphics cards.

Cryptocurrency is something I'm still uncomfortable with. Maybe because I'm kind of a Luddite, maybe because I have preconceptions about the type of people who bitcoin-mine.

Anywho, congrats on getting out of debt. 👏 I hope to be there one day.
