Reflections - Ask Me Anything volume II (and one-half)

So, now that Reflections is complete, I thought I would give an AMA another try. I attempted to run one back in October, I believe, but that one didn't get any questions (and I'm hoping the same doesn't happen this time around). (Incidentally, if you go looking for this one, it doesn't exist anymore.)

I am taking questions from now until the actual AMA post goes up. Hopefully within the timespan of a week. Like last time, I will do this in a somewhat narrative style, and should hope to have it done within a few days after it closes. Please leave your questions in the comment section below.

My only question is thus. Given we know that portals can be opened between realities, what are the chances that a pony might have been able to use such a spell (or similarly-acting artifact) to escape their collapsing timeline?
