Not really big on fanfic writing, but when I'm in the mood I'll jot something down from time to time. I'd much rather frequent sites like YouTube, DeviantArt, and Facebook

So I tried Fortnite today... · 1:27am Jan 17th, 2018

I don't like it.

Like, I absolutely don't like it.

10 matches played today. From those 10 matches, I scored a grand total of 2 kills. The longest I survived in those ten matches was a grand total of 2 minutes. Total length of time forced to wait between matches every time I died; 20 minutes. Doesn't sound like a lot, but when you die on average about 10 fucking second as soon as you touch the ground, this whole no-respawning gimmick makes me very annoyed.

At least in Halo I can get back into the game if I die. No pissing around waiting for either the game to finish or waiting through all the loading screens and the lobby. Plus when I shoot someone in the face on Halo, THEY GOD DAMN DIE!

I mean no disrespect to anyone who likes this game, but Fortnite to me? It's bollocks. I mean there's not even a practice mode for newcomers to get adjusted to the mechanics of the game! And how is it fair that I'm thrown out of the bus with just a pickaxe and there's like, three people right where I land armed with shotguns and sniper rifles?

I will admit the game looks really good. Visually it is awesome with that cartoonish vibe to it. But I didn't have a fun time playing the game, good people. When I die without accomplishing jack all continuously each time I enter a match, my patience and enthusiasm can only hold on for so long.

Battle Royale mode, or the PvE mode?

its one of those one life games a lot of people who like those type of games

PvE mode isn't available on the Xbox One, at least not unless I shell out some cash. Screw that. I'm not paying to get something that's not only going to be made available this year, but also admits to microtransactions.

At least it isn't fricking loot boxes, am I right?

Well I guess it's not my kind of game in the end. I'm glad I at least gave it a try, but when you die and find yourself having to repeatedly leave the game and entering another match just to resume playing the game, it gets annoying and tedious. It's not for me.

Which is why I'm glad it didn't cost me any money. Downloaded the game for free on the Xbox One. If it cost me money it would have pissed me off. So instead I spent money to get Okami. Now THAT is a game I've heard great things about, and the art style is magnificent and beautiful. I've always appreciated Japanese artistry. It's a style I just really like. So serene and haunting when it chooses to be. Plus the Amaterasu white wolf looks absolutely stunning.

hey at least you tried

4775207
Tried. And failed. And lost.

But certainly tried.

And certainly lost.

But definitely tried.

But definitely failed.

The important thing is that Okami is going to be a good game. XD

Let me start with a sniper rifle instead of a shitty little pickaxe, and then give me a bush to camp in and then I'll still not go back to Fortnite and instead I'll wait for Okami to download and enjoy playing as an awesome wolf goddess with the power of the Sun.

Besides, I really ought to go back to working on the sketches for my next animation. I wanna do an animation to that 'Promise This' song by Cheryl Cole. Got an awesome idea how to do it. :)

Again no disrespect to anyone who likes the game. I just don't think it's my kind of game, having experienced it myself. I'll happily admit I'm probably just crap at it. I still hate having to leave games just to get another chance to play again, though. Especially on Squad where it tells me I'm part of a team, but either I enter the game with NO TEAM MATES AT ALL DESPITE THERE BEING A 100 PLAYERS. That kind of pissed me off.

But still, for anyone who likes this kind of game, it's right up their alley, for certain. Me? I'll stick to Halo. I've had more fun in those games, especially when I destroy the opposition like a baws with just a pistol. Now that was a great match!

4775221
well the game does take alot more brains than normal games its like LOL

4775221
No teammates? For teammates you need to invite a friend, invite someone random, or be invited by a friend/random person... I think...

4775196
Even if you loved Fortnite, Okami is clearly the superior purchase.

Please don't mention LOL. Nevercake's bloody adverts constantly playing for 3 months has made me never want to acknowledge the game's existence. The only LOL-related thing I could care about is the Jinx SFM porn on PornHub, and even that makes me remember Nevercake and reignites me hatred of the man.

Nevercake = Neverwake again.

I do believe it is called 'Matchmaking' for a reason. I mean, this is a game supporting up to 100 players, and I had a couple of games where it couldn't even assign me three players so I had a team to work with. Not that it would have mattered, I guess - they seem to split up and land in different places and end up dying half a minute later anyway. Solo or Squad, it's pretty much the same result for me. XD

I'm so salty about this game. I'm so salty, I'd give somebody a heart attack if they took a bite out of me.

4775245
I'm not laughing.

Seriously. Three months of his bloody LOL advert on YouTube. At the start of every video I watch. If I ever find out what the man looks like in the waking world, I'll track him down and poo in his toilet, and leave the seat up. I'll put an electric fan near it too and waft the smell towards his bedroom.

Oh, and maybe douse his house in petrol and throw a match as I walk away with a twisted grin.

4775250
thats really twisted

4775257
That's just me being polite. The rude version involves a lot of blood and ripped hearts and intestines on the walls.

4775248
*nom*
hmm... could use more ketchup...

4775568
Yea don’t let me make you mad

4775600
Ha ha ha. Yeah. Be careful or I might be on your doorstep with a paper bag full of dog poop. XD

You have to find weapons, which is an aspect about the game I'm guessing you don't like. But if you think about it, the game is eerily similar to Minecraft in a way. Anyways, I like the game, but I can't really play it on my computer, and I don't own a working Xbox. Also, what's up with all the Okami hype? I've been playing that game before it was such a big deal. It was very underrated, but I'm glad it's getting the recognition it deserves now :)! Just a little tip: Do all the side-quests you can!

*Claps hands* Time for some controversy.

Why don't you play some TeamFortress 2?

4776438
I have played it in the past. I like that game a lot. At least when I die in that game I can jump right back in after ten seconds or so to have another go instead of waiting around, jacking myself off as the other surviving players duke it out having fun. Plus I like the hats. They make me laugh, some of them do.

4776262
I've played Halo, which also had you looking in the map sometimes to get different weapons. I've no problems with looking for weapons in a game. I just get annoyed when I either don't get the chance to use a weapon I picked up, or if I get a shotgun and shoot another player up close and it tickles them. And yes I am aware you can get shields in the game but no, this player definitely had no shielding. He wouldn't have had enough time to get an item to give him any.

I don't know. There's a bunch of different shotguns so...maybe the color code of these weapons determines their strength or something? I don't know. It's not an awful game by any means. I just can't get into a game I only get to enjoy for a few seconds or a minute, unless I'm hiding. Yes, I should 'git gud', but there's a lot about the game that could have been explained with a simple 'Training Mode' or something. Like, give me an option to learn the controls, don't throw me into a game and expect me to know what to do. There's probably a hundred more things about the game I don't know how to do or understand.
