Story Milestone - Lightbearers Call for Editors · 4:59am Jan 14th, 2018
Well, after a lot of work and grief and general self-loathing, I've finally managed to bash this story into something readable. Barely readable. But at least I finally have a workable first draft. To make it actually worth reading, however, I'm going to need some help.
Anyone out there who has way too much free time and a highly critical eye is abjectly begged to cast that eye on my poor literary ramblings and help me attempt to make something entertaining out of it.
The story is a, for lack of a better term, a philosophical thriller; heavily inspired by the Illuminatus! trilogy, the Principia Discordia, zen and vajrayana buddhism, and the writings of James Joyce, among many other things. It's told in a widly anachronic style, with frequently shifting perspective, so it's intentionally a little bit confusing at times; and is rated Mature for graphic depictions of sexuality, drug use, and violence.
Anyone who is interested in telling me just how and why this thing sucks, comment or PM, and I'll send you links to the Google Docs files.
I'd give it a go.
Though if I recall correctly and its 70k long -- might not be too quick about it.
