    Sincere Shilling!

If you like D&D stuff, or just tabletop rpg stuff in general, one of the people I follow online is trying to get funding to create something to sell for Dungeon Masters to increase immersion.

    Happy Holidays

This is your yearly reminder that I wrote a decently funny Christmas story in the long-ago times. If you haven't read it, you should! If you have read it, maybe you should just stick with blurred memories of how good it was.

    Books!

So, due to my high level connections here and there, I now have an advance copy of several highly sought after ponyfic books. Now that I've had a chance to check several of them out in person, I have to say that Ponyfeather Publishing does excellent work. Anyone able to pick one up, at Bronycon or ordering them afterward, should totally do so.

Last Week on City Of Doors 7/7/2019

So, I've actually been posting on my primary blog lately. Which has been nice, given that I've pulled myself out of depression enough to actually do stuff like that. So, here's been my daily content over there:

Anime: Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress

Woo! BMRL update 2018 · 6:47pm Jan 8th, 2018

I'm pretty sure I'm all caught up with the Big Master Review List. For now, anyway. Might have missed one or two here and there. If you are an author who knows of a review that isn't on the list, please let me know. Likewise if you are a reviewer with a favorite review that you don't see on there.

Wait! I forgot my reviews, again. One moment. There, okay, now I'm all caught up. Etc etc, see above about letting me know if I've missed any reviews.

Current numbers for the list:
Authors: 3,476 3,477
Stories: 9,378 9,387
Total Reviews: 16,616 16,637

Now with the five review posts from Paul Asaran that I apparently completely missed. Hopefully that was the only big mistake I made.

Looks like you've missed a couple of PaulAsaran's more recent reviews.

Hmm? Thought I got all of his. I'll go back and trawl through them again.

Sweet! :pinkiehappy:

It's interesting that the average reviewed story has about 1.75 reviews, when there are 9.3k reviewed stories out of 115k posted on FIMFiction. (Not good or bad, just interesting.)

Part of me wonders how number of reviews correlates to reviewer-perceived story quality — do reviews cluster because reviewers trust each other's recommendations and preferentially read the stories that their peers liked? But figuring out the average "reviewer score" by getting recommendation tiers from the reviewers who use them would be a heck of a data mining project.

Ah man, that picture makes me happy ;_; Even if at least two of those pones don't come here no more. (I forget who the batpony is supposed to be c.c)

Bat Pony is just a generic extra. Wanted all five types, but no reviewer uses one. So, called a temp agency for an extra.

It is a pretty neat picture though.

It gets even better when you realize that something like 2/3rds or 3/4ths of the stories only have one review. Reviews do tend to cluster around some, just because all the reviewers tend to follow each other and so get more exposure that way. I do have a way to check how much overlap there is, but was slowing things down on the sheet too much.

So where are you r reviews?

Oh, weird. o.O I swear the cutie mark is familiar somehow though...

Go figure I'm arguing with him. :V

The ones I do personally? Over on my non-fimfic blog. City of Doors. Currently only putting out like 1-2 a day as I get back into the groove of posting regularly.

4769655
Really? I've been wondering for ages who it was. I just assumed Chris.

4769655
You have no idea how long that has been driving me crazy.

Now I'm tempted to create a new reviewing alt under the name "Reading Rainbow" and spend a season being a batpony for tax purposes just so I can pretend it was me all along.

Clearly he had the gall to call himself a thestral.

I could have sworn I mentioned this before when I got the picture done and put it up. Guess not!
