I'm planning on doing a chapter-by-chapter analysis of my story, Civil Distinction · 6:05am Dec 31st, 2017
Quillamore did something similar with a particularly wordy story of hers, and I thought, "Hell, I can do the same thing. So why not seize the opportunity, right?"
In case you haven't noticed, observed, or even guessed, I take the writing process of Civil Distinction quite seriously. In fact, Civil Distinction is a pretty obscure fic of mine, and you're very unlikely to be interested in it or this blog post. That said, there's quite a lot of, you can say, themes and subtleties which I feel compelled to touch on. Basically, once the story is either finished or nearing completion, I'll go over it in a series of blog posts, one chapter at a time, and provide an analysis of what I was going for, what I liked, what I regretted doing, any and all allusions or moments of foreshadowing, and so on.
I'm starting this for my own sake, or to a certain extent it's for my own sake. Once I lay the groundwork for why I wrote Civil Distinction (and what was going on in my head while writing it) I think I'll find some better footing for the next big story I have planned.
P.S. There's only two chapters left, in case anyone wants to know.
Oh I simply can't wait for this! While it is a shame to hear that there is only 2 chapters left, I love this story and the one before it more than alot of the bigger ones on FIMFiction. I wish these got more attention since the effort you put into it is amazing. But I cant wait to read your analysis on the story.
