I tend to be almost mortally averse to the labelling of a story as "overrated." It's a non-criticism, because you're essentially saying a popular story doesn't deserve its popularity for whatever arbitrary reason, which is a frivolous point. Either the story is good or it isn't good; any comments about what it "deserves" is far too subjective to be worthy of discussion. Is Lord of the Rings overrated? To some, yes, to others, no. Focus on what it does right or wrong, nothing more.

Call me crazy, but has there been a downgrade in the animation quality ever since season 4? You look at season 4 (especially the two-parters) and it's just filled with amazing lighting, particle effects, good use of colour, and smooth-as-butter animation. Just look at this stuff.

You know, despite my exceedingly harsh criticism of season 9 thus far, I am sort of hyped for this. Maybe it's that last shot of Twilight crying that really sold me.

The voices sound kinda choppy though, like they stitched together several soundbites.

I've been thinking about my career as an author, here on Fimfiction. I may not be the best writer, or the most popular, or the most conscientious, but I am nevertheless proud of what I produce.
