Dear readers, followers, and passers by.
After a long delay, chapter thirettn of the 'Conversion Bureau: United we Stand' is live! Thanks to Shubzilla for proofreading, and to all of you. My apologies for the delay. I got caught up in 'Gone Before'. Gonna get the next chapter of this, and a little holiday omake, up sooner rather than later.
And just in case, there is of course the Hasbroverse trope page. My thanks to all who have maintained and added stuff to it.
Too bad. I had hoped that interpretation of the setting had died out. We've deconstructed it enough. Isn't it about time now for the reconstruction and go back to what Blaze originally intended the fic to be about? (IE "Why are there so many obviously human based gizmos and inventions in Equestria and so many human cultural traits, and yet no humans?")
I would add in today "Why are there cultures that are transparent transplants of ones from Earth?" (IE, ponies who are obviously east indians.)
Imagine all the fun stories to be written about transformed humans bringing their cultural identity with them like most immigrants, and that both meshing and clashing with Equestria's culture.
And like immigrants, they look like everypony else.

Dude, seriously? 😠He just updated a great fic. Leave off with that. Blaze's fic was misanthropic, whether or not he intended it to be, and if people enjoy deconstructing it, let them. I know I for one love this story.

That's just it. It's not a deconstruction anymore. It's similar to how the bone headed loser father was intended as a subversion of the 'father knows best' parents of the 50s shows, but now the loser father has become the norm. It's similar here. THERE ARE NO fics that play it straight anymore.
Two worlds crash into each other by accident. The radiation that one species needs to live floods the other. Leaving a change of DNA being the only apparent solution.
That one set of DNA is better than the other? Where did that even come from? That the flood radiation is a a physical wall that you can destroy and everything will be fine?
And where the hell is Sunset Shimmer's mirror? Can't transformed human just go through that and immigrant to that Earth? The only story that remotely addressed this had her eaten by Africans.
If Mecha Anime had stayed in the deconstruction phase, we'd have just had an endless march of Evangelion clones, instead of reaching the reconstruction phase with Gurren Lagann.
This is my opinion and view as a story teller. It's not intended as any sort of attack or put-down on the author, or the quality of their writing. No personal insults were intended.

Given that the original premise was effectively hit with a screed against it at the start of season....I wanna season 5, with the whole 'Our Town' thing, I don't think there's anything wrong with continuing to do fics like this. The problem is that while some things were later inventions or modifications of things already present in the original (The barrier being mobile being a later modification of the original barrier in Blaze's fic, for example), there are still people who think the misanthropic TCB stuff is good. And there are just as many who don't. The difference is that the ones who don't are still writing because they enjoy working on their fics because people still enjoy reading them. Well, that and the fact that they will interact with their readers without insulting them for not praising pro-TCB stuff as genius or something.
