Eyy.
So, I am glad that the response from Equestria Daily was quick to respond to my story. However, it was also quick to being rejected, which was honestly no surprise. I may seek out an editor for the story to help assist it for a second submission, but I won't harp on it too much.
To be honest, it is discouraging to know that my tense issues are still a major problem and I am nowhere near where I want to be in my skill. Oh well. Complaining won't do me much. I'll just keep on writing like I have.

You just do you. Polish your craft for you! And the rest of us will support you and enjoy the results. At the end of the day, if they like it. Fine. But until then...just keep on doing it for you.

Yeah. I get that. I don't even bother with them. He know I don't have anything that's good enough to submit, but I read whatever grabs me. I don't need them to tell me what I should and shouldn't.

There is no real universal guide for a story to be liked, it kinda falls to the preferences of the reader.
While criticism and feedback can be helpful you shouldn't loose your way in it, otherwise you may end up writing Rarities 'princess dresses' or ... you know .. almost every 90s action movie.
