Updates and future plans · 7:45am Aug 28th, 2017
As I am sure many of you have noticed by now, Long Live the Queen and The Protector have both been updated with new chapters this weekend! With that, and how excited I am with where we are in Long Live the Queen, I've decided to list my plans for the rest of the year.
The Protector, sadly, is going to go on a mini-hiatus. I know I am leaving you all at a bad spot and I am sorry for that, but my enthusiasm for the story has dwindled at the moment (as can probably be seen by the latest chapter) and I want the story to be the best it can be. Right now, that can't happen.
The good news though, is if all goes to plan I should be able to finish Long Live the Queen before the end of 2017. Was talking to one of my pre-readers tonight, figuring out how our plans could be for the story, and made a rough estimate of how many more chapters until I reached the point I had planned on ending LLtQ. The rough estimate is ten more chapters. Sure some of those will be LONG chapters, likely as long or longer than the most recent chapter, but ten chapters should be enough to get through my plans. This means if I can get through about one chapter every two weeks, I should have plenty of time to finish before the ball drops on New Years Eve.
Note: this doesn't mean I will be done with Shiny and Chryssy's story in ten chapters, that is still a long way from done, but enough things will be happening and changing to warrant it ending at that point. After that, will be the start of book 2 (as of yet unnamed) and a whole slew of new dangers, battles, and new main characters. (Which is another reason I want to switch at this coming point to book 2. Parts of the story will be told from the point of view of others whom we haven't heard from before.)
So, keep your hooves crossed my pony, ling, and other creature friends! The excitement is just beginning. Hearts will be racing, terror rising, and LLtQ will be earning that Dark tag even more than it already has. Are you prepared? Can you handle the pressure? Find out in the coming weeks, only here on LLtQ!
