A long time ago a prophecy was made by my ancestors, that a time would come when one of our wolf kind would be needed. A dark presence was coming toward our land, our homes. What it wanted most of all was to destroy our peaceful way of life, take our forest village for its own, and bathe the grass and trees in our blood.
But the prophecy states, if a pony can love the wolf for who he is, together their power would be enough to defeat this evil, and vanquish it back to the bowels of Tarturus from whence it came. So comes our story in the present day, when the evil looms near. Will we succeed? Or will we be doomed?

I don't know if it was just me, but this felt refreshing and jarring at the same time. It's a breakaway from the cliché "but it's wrong" thing, but it also kinda trout slaps you with how sudden it is. I don't know how I feel about this yet. Other than that this chapter was great.

I like to give my own twist on the old cliche. And it is kind of something I always wondered in the old tales about such things, wondering why they didn't even question this new attraction to each other. But yeah, wanted to do a little more realistic reaction?
