Some news! (and a warning)

I'm moving house soon! Not going especially far, in fact I'll be closer to my university, so it's a good thing really. Also, the place I'm living in right now is kind of in the middle of nowhere, so it'll be nice to be somewhere more central.

I should be moving next week. As such, there might be a couple of days where I'm unable to get online while the new internet is being sorted out, but rest assured I won't have died or abandoned this site. (Sorry to disappoint!)

As for things I'm doing right now, and things I've done recently?

Well... There's A Royal Mistake, which I released the first couple chapters of a few days ago. As far as I'm concerned, it was a success. It might have generated a fair amount of negative criticism, and it might not have the most attractive ratio in the world, but it sat comfortably in the box for around four days, and I'd call that an accomplishment considering those former points. I'll be continuing with it soon, right after I've finished revising the first couple of chapters.

That's something I'll mention here. The first two chapters will be changing somewhat, in order to reflect a more lighthearted tone. This is at the request of the commissioner, and with his permission I'll keep the original chapters for those who wish to look at them, they'll be put up elsewhere for anyone who wishes to read! But I'm hoping that the changes will improve the overall quality of the story, as well as satisfy my commissioner.

Once that's out of the way, I'll begin working on new chapters. I already know where I'm going with the story, so don't worry, updates should be pretty frequent once I've dealt with these edits!

A thank you to everyone who read that story, it means a lot to me.

What else did I do? ...Oh yeah! I published a piece of political satire, one that didn't spark the flame wars I expected it to, but it was fun to write nonetheless! I encourage you to check it out if you fancy a laugh, and feel free to leave your opinion!

As for what I am doing? Let's see:

There's a contest I'm considering entering, I've got an idea I'm playing around with. If I do decide to press ahead with that, you can likely expect a new story from me in the next few days! (Spoiler: It won't be a SunLight)

Of course, as I've said, I'm pressing on with A Royal Problem, but I'm hoping to begin updating some of my other longfics soon! Although, saying that, it's likely that Big Tavi Lil Tavi Cardboard Box will get a total rewrite, but the other two should expect updates in the near future!

I've got a blog post about writing coming out soon, trying to encourage new writers not to make the same mistakes I have (and still do). That'll be appearing on Chris's blogspot (One Man's Pony Ramblings) next week, but I'll likely release it here before then! If you're looking for some advice on writing, specifically writing on this site, then I've got you covered.

I have a couple of other things I'm working on, but I won't say much about them, as you'll see them when they're here!

In other words, I've got some shit to do. Am I prepared? Hell no. Am I gonna do it all anyway? You bet.
