Welp, here it is finally - Taking the Sun II: the longest single commission I have ever written. If it's your cup of tea, enjoy some more humanized princest antics, with a liberal smattering of petplay and public displays of more-than-just-affection.
I wrote the first draft for this - all of it - with a pen and paper, just because I felt like doing it that way. 96 college-ruled pages later, I did my proofreading phase while transcribing it to a computer. I can say that I actually enjoyed the anachronism and plan to do it again, but I'm not sure I'll be biting off another single commish that's this long without breaking the content up into more than one job. It kept me busy for weeks!
