Today is Lauren Faust's birthday. Of course, at this point it's obvious that she is the talented woman responsible for creating the show as we now know it, a show still going strong with seven seasons, a theatrical movie slated for release this October, and an eighth season on the way for next year.
Lauren was also responsible for the DC Super Best Friends shorts which were not picked up for a series as Lauren had hoped. And her husband, Craig McCracken is responsible for The Powerpuff Girls (the original at least), Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends, and Wander Over Yander (which was cancelled early last year due to declining ratings after being shunted to Disney XD).
Happy birthday, Lauren. I think you'd be very proud of how far the show has come over the years.

Same here, God... It feels like just yesterday I started watching. Amazed at how many things have changed since then, and how time seems to have flown on by.
Indeed. Happy B-Day, Miss Faust. And here's hoping that the upcoming game "Them's Fightin' Herds" (which Ms. Faust is also a driving force behind) turns out all right. :-D
