How do you guys do it? how do you motivate yourselves to keep writing?
I'm trying to do it right now, I'm telling myself that I can't do any of the things I enjoy doing until I get some writing done, but I've tried doing this before and it inevitably failed, and I went right back into my not-writing coma.
I'm looking for advice in how to become more productive, and if I want that to change than the first thing I have to change is myself, my habits, my writing, etc
So, how do you guys do it, if you write?
I listen to music for my hell rider story
I write because I get bored easily, and reading textbooks all day only gets you so much.
...I just write.
Don't force yourself. It's like any kind of activity, sometimes you need to do something else to get inspirated.
Or you could watch all the Granny Smith pics available, I'm sure your productivity will skyrocket.
fear.
Although sometimes I feel a bit scatterbrained, working on several projects actually helps me keep writing. When I get bored of one story, I switch to the other, and so I don't stop.
_____I honestly just start working on shit that I DON'T want to do, like a job. Because no one wants to actually work at a job... right?
If you need to force yourself to do something creative, I suggest you stop, cause you won't get what you want as a final product.
Try considering what you want to express through your story. A theme, a motif; a character ark towards learning an important lesson or coming to terms with a troubling truth about the world; a commentary on society or a metaphor for an element of life. Something you want to communicate to the reader through subtle evidence.
I dunno about your other stories, but regarding "I will hunt you down" for instance, your issue there is likely the fact that you finally feel like one such message had run its course, and you need to "switch the engine's gear". After all, you're pretty close to a climax, and you've introduced new characters that are supposed to express their own conflicting thoughts and ideas.

Actually I just stopped writing IWHYD because I've grown to hate Displaced, and writing for it is generally unappealing.
Besides I have a lot of issues with that story and am uncertain how to continue, since I left it off in the middle of a crossover and I don't really want to crossover anymore.

As far as displaced stories go, yours was one of the only four that I enjoyed, but okay. Can't ask you to keep working on something you no longer enjoy. Otherwise, everything else still stands. Also, in case it's a matter of being lazy rather than being interested, try keeping a self-imposed time limit, or other generic motivation tricks you might find on youtube. Mensutra seems to have good content.

I appreciate you saying that. I enjoyed writing it back when I did write it, but as time went on and I got better as a writer, I can't help but notice a lot of the problems it has.
Rocket Launcher making Nemesis immune to magic=what?
Ponies having guns they developed prototypes for after having Nemesis' gun=what?
I tried to focus on the other characters and not just Nemesis, like I really like the way I wrote Luna, and I had a plan for what was going to happen with Celestia, but overall the whole thing just felt bad to me. I can't stand to look at the first chapter anymore, if I did start writing it again I'd probably try rewriting the first few chapters. I can't edit it too heavily though or else the whole story falls apart.

Well, you could try to identify the key elements that make the chapter tick in harmony with the others, and edit the hell out of the rest to raise the quality, now that you have more experience.
If it serves as consolation, I had to do just that for a piece of original fiction I wrote.
For other, I scrapped the whole thing, and started anew.
That is the life of a writer. :)
