The Commander's Shilling · 1:31am Mar 25th, 2017
Voila, new story! The Commander's Shilling, another (and considerably shorter than the last) tale focusing once again on the ponies of antiquity.
This one owes its existence partly to the Time Action Glory Challenge Group!, which has done as excellent a job as anything barring pointed wallops from a cattle prod could in terms of coaxing me to write new things, and to a comment by FanOfMostEverything regarding Pansy and the pegasi in Noblesse's comments section. Inspiration happened, in the arcane way inspiration does, and most of the story was written in the span of today.
Fair warning that after Sunday, I may not be as responsive to comments on it or anything else as I usually try to be. In my defence, this'll be due to being out in the westernmost regions of the West Highlands, where internet signals are eaten alive by rugged expanses and spat out in the form of midges and rain. Normal blethering service should resume around Saturday-ish next week.
Said Saturday should also bring with it new chapters of Wedding March, so stay tuned there. Horsewords are an entirely productive use of time in the Highland night, after all, and whisky by a fireplace should only ever expedite the writing process greatly. Or hinder it. One of the two.
>More wedding march
I am eagerly anticipating the Bullwalda and Luna in the same room, eventually.

I'll see what can be arranged. Shouty old-fashioned monarchs are such a joy to bounce off one another.
There are times when I suspect I emit Prachettian inspiration particles. I'm glad to see another one found its way to you.

It's a remarkable talent. Consider hiring yourself out to uninspired folks with writer's block. All you have to do is stand in the same room and soon gratitude and various favours'll just flow your way.
Wedding March next Saturday? Hooray!
I am sure you could be...encouraged to deliver us more Palaververese
I still have that mage-lord's phone number.

More Wedding March next Saturday indeed! Or Sunday, depending on editing time and suchlike. It will be coming, though.
