    Strike, fade, run

“Striking, fading and running. Each of these are three well used moves, my Lady.” Twilight spoke. “Most importantly, running.”

“Why would I run?” Rarity huffed, still bent over slightly and catching her breath.

    April, with many a day…

So I just spent from the third through today (sort of, still have some driving to do) on holiday. Went to Dallas to see the Eclipse in totality, swung though Hot Springs for… well, the hot springs, and finally St Louis for a lovely riverboat dinner before bidding the Boyfriend farewell and starting the trip home.

    Well, I started it...

All Good Things... has commenced. I may have a chapter of it up tonight.

I really want to start closing out the unfinished stories, but sometimes you just can't get back into the flow for them. Sorceress and the Siren is one, Into the Wilds is another. Which is sad cause I love writing Azure.

    Homecoming, in retrospect.

Homecoming as a series is a glorious mess. I’ve gone on short bits of fluff, created some … unique ships, twisted the fabric of canon EqG, and even touched on some dark topics.

    Don't you just hate it...

When you can't find something when you need to?

Case in point, I went looking for a comment where they alluded to It being like Frodo saving the Shire for everyone but himself and had to sail to another land to find solace.

But I can't remember what fic or anything else.

    And it's frustrating to me.

    Meanwhile, in other news...

2017

Monday morning · 10:04pm Mar 6th, 2017

An interesting thing happens to me on days off and vacations...unless I set my alarm, I slowly shift into my true habits, and I am very much a night owl. I feel like I can get more done at night, whereas daytime makes me want to take a nap around three. I may be writing about Celestia's little ones, but Luna is the one I would probably be serving if Twilight and Cadence didn't have an opening for a quirky unicorn.

So, just two days into my vacation, I am going to bed shortly after sunrise and waking up around noon or one. It's restful, and it helps me keep my stress down. Stress staying low is how I keep a mostly decent weight loss routine going, though I may have to step it up a little now that I have more free time, but I don't want to turn into a gym rat.

If that ever happens, Challenge me to a race and see how fast I crumble.

Plus side, I can probably take some time to actually do my nails, now that I'm not bound by local food safety laws requiring non-painted or false nails.

Chapter five of Chaos Theory is now live.

With spring coming my passion for training returns. Looking forward to go back to the cross-fit gym again. Hate the winter.

Winter is the worst, followed closely by summer. I like my mild springs and autumns.

4445800 While I adore autumn for the colors, summer is when I thrive at work: warm and long days, I can walk around in a tank-top, shorts and a nice buzzcut and the only periods where I actually enjoy working overtime. Not to mention my favorite part of summer: Having a cool beer when the evening is still warm and the sunset is coloring the sky orange. Haaaah, I'm already looking forward to it.
