When you can't find something when you need to?
Case in point, I went looking for a comment where they alluded to It being like Frodo saving the Shire for everyone but himself and had to sail to another land to find solace.
But I can't remember what fic or anything else.
And it's frustrating to me.
Meanwhile, in other news...
“Concentrate, Ash,” Lexi said. “It’s important we get an idea of how far your mana has enhanced you physically.”
“Yeah, Red, concentrate!” Mei said before flicking the tip of her tail against my nose.
I heard the exasperated sigh from Lexi as I came up to plank again and stopped, turning my head slightly.
“Do you have to sit there?” I asked.
“No,” the catgirl said as she lightly hopped off. “But I do like to be involved.”
I rolled my eyes as I flopped down to sit cross-legged, taking the bottle of water offered to me by Lexi. “Cheeky cat,” I muttered.
A thought occurred to me as we got ready to head inside.
“Hey, Lexi?” I asked, causing her to pause as we walked. “You got strength increases from your mana, right?”
“Yeah,” she confirmed. “Along with some muscle tone.”
Really good muscle tone, I thought before mentally shaking my head.
“So, just how strong are you?” I asked.
Lexi tapped her chin in thought, then walked over to the driveway and bent down slightly at the back bumper of Dad’s van, grabbing the tow hitch.
Then she stood up, the wheels of the van lifting from the ground. There was no strain on her face as she lifted the hitch up to her shoulder before gently lowering the vehicle.
“Ok,” I said, a sweatdrop rolling down my face. “Enough said.”
“Show off,” Mei muttered, surreptitiously feeling her own biceps.
So yeah. Light novel continues the classic Allykitty Shipping™ formula for crushes.
