About a hot club sandwich and waffle fries from the local corner sandwich shop.
We have this place that serves a Turkey club that is heavenly, and the fries are fresh cut in house. The only other place I've had fries this good is on the boardwalk, but that requires driving for a good half hour not counting traffic.
Traffic can turn it into a three-hour tour. Sometimes, you are lucky to avoid Gilligan.
But after a hard and trying workday, I like to treat myself to something if I have the money. After the Superbowl, I went and had my nails done up nice, July 4 I tried a new hair color, and tonight it's a club and fries.
Simple pleasures.
But this cold weather has got to stop. Seriously. I dislike the cold. I'm a fair-weather girl. Give me Spring and Fall with cool breezes and warm days. Even my coloration is Autumn based. Browns, greens, reds, and a few gold items make up the majority of my wardrobe outside of Tees, jeans, and a few black and gray items.
On to the business at hand. Been getting some PM flack over my portrayal of Octavia and Vinyl. I will not mention names but it's not anyone that commented in the comment section as of the typing of this post.
And that kind of stuff has got to stop. Yes, I portrayed Vinyl as a transwoman. Yes, she doesn't look like it in the show/movies...but there's a strange thing about that: She's in High School for the version I'm portraying. Without diving into her backstory (Which I probably will, along with the very female pony Vinyl eventually) there is this: Trans people who come out to their parents and aren't kicked out at a young age can start hormone blockers to stall puberty and the hormone replacement will steer their development along the proper path. So Vinyl (in my Homecoming headcanon) looks like a lanky, slim girl because she is mentally and physically.
No, I'm not going to debate that point. Move along.
But there are some women that develop deeper voices than the rest of the bell curve. Cher is one woman, and while not a fan of hers, damn that voice. Pink also has what would be considered a deep feminine voice.
When I refer to Vinyl's voice, this is the voice that springs to mind, minus the accent, plus a little rasp: Christine McVie -
So yeah. Knock it off.
Man I loved your portrayal of Vinyl, it something I haven't seen for that character yet. I hope you write more for them with this sub plot (or as the main plot, whichever strikes you of course.)
