I'm on a break · 4:42pm Jan 20th, 2017

...and therefore decided to do a blog post.

It's currently exam time here in Nottingham University, so I'm quite busy doing all the revisions for my final year. This goes some way to explain a decrease in activity on my part.

On the plus side, I now know more about material models and modes of failure than I really want to know.

However, since I know a lot of you gents will at least be open to reading AppleDash stories, given the type of content that I often publish, I thought it'd be worthwhile reminding (or introducing) gents to the AppleDash Prompt Thread.

Whilst it does go inactive for a good few weeks ever now and then, I tend to pop by a fair bit, as do some other AppleDash-y writers. The prompts are short and can vary from the serious, to the comedic, to the experimental. It's also a tradition to derail the thread with puns. Obnoxious amounts of puns.

I'm not apologising.

So, long story short, there's a bunch of short AppleDash stuff that I've written there since I started writing, and there's a bunch of cool stuff that other writers have put there too. If you're looking for some AppleDash stuff to read and are just appalled by the lack of HapHazred stories at the moment, it's a fair bet that I might have published something over there. If you're looking to try writing an AppleDash short yourself, it's a lovely way to try out some cool ideas and get to know the AppleDash fanfiction community. And if you don't give a damn about AppleDash, well, I mean, this was probably a pointless blog post for you, and a complete waste of your time.

I'm not apologising.

Seriously, though, it's worth checking out, and the idea of a prompt tag thread has been something that's been re-used in multiple groups, because it's a pretty neat idea in my biased opinion. Just remember, the cycle goes:

>Post short AppleDash Story
>Post Prompt for Following story
>Thread Dies
>Weeks Later, another short appears
>Puns
>???!
>Profit, perhaps?
>Repeat

That's all from me today. Have a jolly good one. I'm going back to reading about Kolmogorov's length scale.

4389457 To be fair, I'm quite all right at turbulence and advanced biomaterial structures, which are my next two exams.

After all, what's not to get about sticking bits of metal in people and that being a good thing?!

The last one is polymer engineering, though, and I confess I'm not that big of a fan. It's a bit disparate. And chemistry-y.

4389463 To be fair, most of my learning is done by successive drumming of method and formula into my skull.

It's like evolution. If you kill past-you because it was dumb, eventually it will evolve into a smart.

Or something like that. I never learned evolution.

I'm not apologising.

And I don't see any reason why you should. :ajsmug:

4389542 Because some people... poor, misguided people... seem to think puns are a lesser form of comedy.

I, of course, am more well versed in higher-brow humour.
